Otome Game Review: Brothers Conflict -Brilliant Blue-

After god knows how many years of delays, Otomate finally released Brilliant Blue…however now that I finally got to play it, the delays are a mystery to me when all the common route/stat raising/date system is a copy pasta template of Passion Pink! Literally I just sat there force skipping through almost every “family” scene because it was dejavu from the previous game. Some scenes I sat through simply because it has been such a long time since I played PP that I didn’t actually remember if I saw them or not. Despite the copypasta, the individual brothers were still enjoyable for what it’s worth and while it took me a bit getting used to, eventually the system became pretty easy to go through. With improvements such as saving during choices as well as using quick save/quick load unlike last time, this time it was smooth sailing. Anyway on to Ema’s brocon adventures!

Otome Game Review: Hanasaku Mani Mani

Wow this game was…something else but more on that in my final thoughts. ಠ_ಠ Our heroine Mochizuki Nao is blasted to the past of the Edo era at the bakumatsu period when they’re about to overthrow the shogun. She gets picked up by a historical bishie who brings her to Manjiya, a prostitute house where the geiko ladies can service men but without having to actually spread their legs. Guess it must be a high class one. \(^o^)/ Even though she starts working in the back, all the guys there suggest she start working “in the front” to service all the male customers instead. Without any second thoughts, Nao’s like SURE THANG and so begin her exciting adventures in semi-prostitution. Warning: Terrible writing and landmine tropes ahead! Otome Game Review: School Wars ~Sotsugyou Sensen~

This took way longer than it should have because my otome gaming motivation got run over by a steamroller called FFXIV 😆 Didn’t help that this game is just really really mediocre and I really wanna punch myself for wasting time with any Quin Rose fandisks ( ´_ゝ`).  Anyway the story takes place after Shiori graduates and now she has a month before she starts college. Unfortunately the school gets slammed with an investigation and instead of spending her spring break having fun, she has to spend her spring break making sure nothing weird happens so that their school isn’t shut down.  Also to add salt to the wound, aside from Itsuki and Shinya, all the relationship statuses with the rest have been reset. The only real new route here is the student council pres, Naezono Ouji.

Otome Game Review: Koibana Days -pure flower garden-

So when I first read reviews/heard about the system in this game I was horrified. People claimed it was worse than Wand of Fortune, oh the travesty! Well turns out, it’s not a bad system after all, and now I’m a pro gardener and I fully completed the game.  But more on that in my final thoughts! Our story takes place at Suzunomori Gakuen, a gardening boarding school where our heroine Misaki Hana enrolls. Her grandfather once graduated from this school and he won the flower show with his “legendary flower.” Now Hana is following in his footsteps, to grow the best flower that there ever was!
