Tifalia is an orphan who works with her aunt at an inn. One day a circus group comes to town but their first show is a massive failure. The purpose of their show is to collect feelings of joy from the audience to make Flora – a flower needed to wake their prince’s heart from the curse. He’s currently emotionless and a 17 year old stuck in a 7 year old’s body. After speaking to Tifaria and realizing she has some great ideas, they recruit her to help them improve the success of their shows. As usual spoilers and probably misspelled fantasy names ahead!
Soooooooooo remember a year ago when I got that Code Realize bundle of the main game and first fandisc? Yeah, I uh forgot as well which is why it took me so long to play it and review it. But you-know-who got mad that I was spending so much time cheevo hunting in FFXIV and this would simply not do, so yet again I was exiled to the bedroom to grind this out over the course of a few evenings…and also spoiler warning I eventually gave up at one point and started force skipping.
Well because I appear to have sold my soul to Square Enix I had already pre-ordered the remake of Nier Replicant and it was finally released last week. I’ve always wanted to play this version as it’s a prequel to Nier Automata but it was only available on PS3 and who even has a PS3 anymore? Fortunately Automata’s popularity clearly inspired Yoko Taro to make this remake a reality and I’m glad I finally got a chance to play this title. As usual, big fat spoilers after the jump so if you plan to play the game please wait until after you finish before reading the review!
Cupid is a goddess in the god world Dii Consentes whose job is to shoot arrows at people whose colors “match up well” to make them fall in love. Unfortunately all the people she’s shot so far have fallen in love but almost immediately broken up! Her father calls her a useless faildaughter, so her aunt Minerva teaches her about smartphones and social media to try to get her caught up with the times. Cupid is then surprised to find a company called Cupid Corporation and ends up getting a job there while keeping her true identity a secret. She also adopts the name Lynette Mirror, based on the heroine from her favorite movie. With time, becomes the best wedding planner & matchmaker to show her father that she is the best Cupid there ever was. She gets a tough assignment to get 5 of the most “hard to match” candidates, known as Parasite5, but she accepts in hopes of a promotion at her job. Warning, I apparently wrote a really long summary of every route so text walls (and spoilers of course) ahead lol.
