Hotori is your average high school student – except that she has 1 month left until her death. Two shinigami are sent down to earth have 1 month to watch over her and make sure she has no regrets left so she can descend into the after life. The two shinigami are Zen and Rikka, and if their mission succeeds, they will get a get out of hell free coupon to be reborn again. If they fail, they will be stuck doing shinigami work for all of eternity. Hotori starts to think about how to live her life to the fullest in the remaining time she has left, and one of the things on her bucket list is to confess to her crush Shizuru. Warning, this review ain’t gonna be pretty so if you thought the game was the best thing ever, reading past the jump may crush your hopes and dreams. 😂 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Un:Birthday Song -Koi wo Utau Shinigami- Another Record”
Otomate figured since Beastmaster & Prince was popular they’d do a spinoff game to rake in those yens. Unfortunately, tacked on with a poor new mofumofu system and a very poor excuse for content, the game ended up being an exquisite waste of time. Review shouldn’t be too long since well not much happened at all! Our heroine Julia is a princess who lives in a castle by herself her whole life with her 4 animal pets a dog Ludwik, canary Mias, horse Ryszard, and bear Jozef. She’s been locked in there by her parents but somehow managed to stash in 4 decently sized animals. 😂 One day her cousin Henryk comes to her telling her that his dad, aka her uncle, has killed both of her parents so now she’s free to leave the tower. Julia realizes she can’t keep her animals anymore so she says goodbye – until her uncle bursts in threatening to kill her too. Suddenly Ryszard flips Julia on his back and horseback rides her and the other animals into the woods away from the castle. When they get to the woods she pulls out a pouch her father left her in case of “emergency”. When she opens it, she finds some rainbow colored fairy dust and when it accidentally falls on all of her animal friends, they turn into 4 ikemans! Julia and her band of hot dudes make their escape to the town of Piskis where they take upon various jobs to support their new life.
So since Amnesia was licensed in English by Idea Factory and released on Steam, once it came on sale for like 90% off I finally convinced
Kentmy husband to buy and play it. And well since we used to blog anime together I figured why not have him review it? Although after reading his thoughts, I think I might have made a grave mistake ಠ_ಠ. If you dare to read his review (aka making fun of the game) please follow after the jump! If the reactions from my readers aren’t too horrifying, then maybe I’ll have him write up a review for the Norn 9 Aksys port that I’m forcing him to play. Also for the most part, it’s non spoiler but it does contain CGs from the game.
While I was waiting for my Vita games to arrive I decided to pick up this game from the bargain bin. It came out in 2012 but it did poorly so that’s why it’s like 70% off on Amazon and why the company hasn’t had any releases since. (´・ω・｀) After playing it through myself I now realize why that is – but more on that in my final thoughts. Our story is about Hinokami Chie who ends up going to boarding school when her parents go overseas. One day she runs into a 2 tailed cat ayakashi who tells her that she has some Onmyouji powers and asks her to seal the 12 Chinese Zodiac beasts in the zodiac book.
So I didn’t intend to play this when it came out a year ago but I found it on sale while I was in Japan and was like well why not? Turns out it was actually a worthwhile purchase for me. I played this solely during my commute which is why it took me almost 2 months to complete but I enjoyed it none the less. The game begins with our heroine (who will forever be known as Mary Sue on this blog) once again having no memories as she’s transported through different “worlds”. Pretty much brief summaries ahead and not much of a spoiler so feel free to read on everything except Second World which actually has the true spoiler of the game.
