Otome Game Review: Dot Kareshi: We’re 8bit Lovers! ~Densetsu no Otome~

This is the first of a 3 game series by Rejet. The heroine is basically you, some high school girl who’s played her 8bit RPG game called Ultimate Quest and got all her characters to level 99. Unfortunately you really suck at RPGs and you’ve made your knight, mage, priest and thief suffer death multiple times and screwed up all their stats! 😆 Now your RPG 8 bit mans are angry that you’ve abandoned them and they suck you into the game via a bug that was inserted by the developers. The only way to get out is to complete 1 quest and so you have to pick whose quest you’re gonna complete to return home.

Otome Game Review: OZMAFIA!!

Our heroine has amnesia and finds herself in a familiar town full of mafia families. She gets picked by one of them, the Oz family. They’re not just any family though, they are the Wizard of OZ characters, with the leader being the Lion Caramia, and his two right hand men the Scarecrow Kyrie and the Tin Man Axel. They give her the name Fuka and from that day on she spends her days being a freeloader and interacting with other mafia families in town. Spoilers immediately following the jump so skip to my final thoughts if you’re still playing/planning to play!

Otome Game Review: A Troll’s Fairy Tale

troll

S-morishita had come to me asking me to review her one-man NaNoWriMo game and since it’s not too long, I decided to give it a shot :D. It’s a free English otome game and can be downloaded from her website. The story is about our heroine Acacia, a troll, so she’s not exactly the most beautiful princess in the world. She’s 25 years old but still hasn’t found the man of her dreams and her mom’s getting naggy about marriage. She’s got a younger sister Alaqua, and when they were younger, their father ran away with some fairy homewrecker. Due to this her mom wants her to marry some rich guy but Acacia wants to marry for love – like in a fairy tale. In fact she figures the best way to snag a man is through his stomach so she improves cooking skills every day working at a bakery with her mother. Only text spoilers ahead, no CG spoilers!
