Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-

Himehibi is a Takuyo game so of course you can expect there to be crack as I learned from Little Aid. As expected though you can’t get with the crackiest character (until the sequel so I’ll save my fangirling for the next game.) The story is about Aizaki Koi (yes her name is KOI not Ren 😆 ) who finds out that apparently she has this grandpa who is the principal of an all boys school. Since her parents are abroad in some foreign country (what else is new) she is told to transfer to this school…and then it will become a co-ed school! But! Since she is the first female there, she of course becomes this huge idol and you have to play mini games to “earn fans” and do “fanservice” for them 😆 I guess if you don’t have enough fans your favorite bishie will not look your away oh noes. So she transfers to the male dorm with her 2 nukos Mii and Nyaa (possibly the best part of the game) and her room is right next to all the guys so they can be her knights in shining armor. Sadly the biggest turn off for this game for me was…cousincest. I don’t care how distant or close cousins they are, it’s still incest to me yuck. Playing the game though I forcefully put this information out of my mind so I could at least 萌え~ during the cute scenes lol. Spoilers ahead 😎 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-“

Otome Game Review: Little Aid

This was actually my first Takuyo game since Kaito Apricot failed on me with the save issue but it suffered from the same problem as that game – if you click out of the window game promptly stops. Why you do this? Because of this I couldn’t chat with anyone when I broadcast or the stupid game would keep stopping. The story is about a stupid middle school girl named Nishimura Akari who lives with her father and brother. She’s a freaking idiot who can’t cook, always sleeps late until her oniichan wakes her up and her voice actress sounds like nails on chalkboard. I guess the only positive thing is that since multiple characters are voiced by the same person I felt like I was playing the Sugita Tomokazu and Sawashiro Miyuki otome game 😆 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Little Aid”

Otome Game Review: Sangoku Rensenki ~Otome no Heihou~

This is basically Fushigi Yuugi x Romance of the Three Kingdoms story. A girl named Yamada Hana (nice generic name!) gets sucked into the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms book and from there she has to help with war strategies in order to bring peace and stop the fighting! That’s great, except I really don’t give a crap about battle tactics! Really let the game decide it for me! I don’t care who wins or loses as long as I get some kissing/confessions at the end. I think I picked the wrong game to play 😐 Spoilers ahead~! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Sangoku Rensenki ~Otome no Heihou~”

Otome Game Review: Bloody Call

What do you get when you mix Jingi Naki Otome with Full Metal Alchemist? You get this otome game 😆 I was honestly surprised at the similarities but it turned out to be an excellent story and being an all ages game, there was no unnecessary rape (*ノ゚Д゚)八(*゚Д゚*)八(゚Д゚*)ノィェーィ! The story is about a gang called “Fly Call” whose boss suddenly dies and he tells his fellow members to get his wife and daughter out of the ghetto town of Glast Heim safely. Unfortunately one day his wife gets abducted by the rival gang “Nede” and his daughter, Futaba (who is the heroine) almost gets abducted as well by some random guys who want to earn money for her capture. Luckily for her she gets saved by two sexy twin bishies Shiro & Reimei, who happen to be from Fly Call and were asked by the boss to protect her before he passed away. They immediately take her to their huge mansion and tell her that while they want to honor their boss’s dying wish, they kinda need a boss and well she’s the closest thing being his daughter and all so they tell her she’s gonna have to suck it up and deal with it. XD (plot sound familiar yet?) Futaba’s only wish is to get her mother back safely and she causes Fly Call a lot of trouble trying to do so. As always spoilers ahead, so skip to my final impressions if you don’t want to be spoiled. Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Bloody Call”

Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~In Autumn~

And so we’re back with the fall season game. Just as the others it features Tsukiko and her 3 eligible bachelors – in this case, her teachers. As expected one of the main “plotlines” of the game is just that – she’s a student, they’re teachers, IT’S A FORBIDDEN RELATIONSHIP! The thing is it doesn’t feel that bad to me because 2 of them are younger than me and one of them is the same age as my husband xDDD. There’s a couple weird things though. Suzuya and Kanata are still around to “look out” after Tsukiko in text form but they never have any dialogue on or off screen (although they do appear in one of the CGs.) The other thing is that Tsukiko mentions how Yoh went back to France but she also said this in the Summer game and boom he’s there in the background of Cgs in both this and the summer game. Talk about inconsistency lol. While it appears that Tsukiko continues her archery club activities, only the teacher in charge is ever mentioned (obviously since he’s one of the main characters) but the 3 summer boys do appear in one of the CGs. (Homare senpai (´;ω;`)) Anyway spoilers & stuff after the jump!
