I’m late on the boat here but…Android Otome Games XD

Edit: Turns out you need a freaking Japanese phone email to register for GREE to play this stupid game anyway (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ Screw that. Giving this app a bad review!! They shouldn’t even put it on the android market if you need a specific email to play it on, there’s no point!

I just found out there’s like a company that makes otome games for android lol. I just downloaded this Abunai Koi no Bando one but haven’t tried it yet. Looks like none of them are voiced but the art is (;゚∀゚)=3ハァハァ Their official site is here and the games are free!! I think most of them are for Japanese phones but the one above is definitely for Android as I was able to find it in the android market by searching アブナイ. You need to register a free account at GREE first so I recommend doing that on your web browser before logging in from your phone.

Otome Game Review: Starry Sky ~After Summer~

And so we have the fandisk for Summer! Right off the bat  I’m just going to say how much better this is than the Spring fandisk. I guess when the original is awesome the FD is awesome and when the original is fail well you get the picture ( ´_ゝ`). The story starts out with a common route where everyone from the archery club gathered together at some izakaya after 4 years and reminisce about their high school days. From there you pick which dude you wanna follow and then you can proceed to do that guy’s after story. In the common route everyone flashed back to their 3rd year of high school and their training camp for archery. Inukai and Shiratori got into a fight and then made up. They have a test of courage and the 3 new guys along with Tsukiko scare the pants off everyone 😆 Koguma becomes the next captain after Miyaji’s retirement and Azusa takes the vice captain position (saying he’s not meant to be a leader.) Fortunately unlike spring, they didn’t need to add in too many random characters because the cast of summer is awesome as is! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Starry Sky ~After Summer~”

Otome Game Review: Under the Moon ~Crescent~

undermoon

Well I decided to play the PS2 version of UTM because I think I speak for everyone when I say “I’m pretty damn curious what they do to replace the massive amount of rape in the game!” since PS2 games can’t have porn. So this post will mostly be a comparison/thoughts rather than a summary. For the original PC game summary please check my PC review. I plan to discuss the love/hate routes in detail since I ended up skipping those for obvious reasons in the PC version.

Rage Quit Review: Hanayoi Romanesque

So I tried to play Hanayoi Romanesque today. I was warned it has a really annoying system but I figured hey I made it through games like Love Revo and Real Rode and Last Escort….it can’t be that bad right?

YES IT CAN (ಠ_ಠ)

So I’m going to explain why and save everyone the time and effort to even bother with this crap! The game works like this – you have to read dialogue sentences – and certain sentences act as a “stat” raiser. When a certain sentence comes up in the dialogue box you need to press X to collect that stat point. If you miss this sentence, have fun starting that entire chapter over (since it automatically asks you to save each time) or quicksave/save state after every single time you make a choice to make sure you don’t have to start from the beginning if you miss it. It’s irritating as hell because it’s not like an option that comes up on screen, it’s part of the dialogue.

Normally when I play otome games I tend to sort of glance at the dialogue and multi task etc ya know? I am a frequent user of auto-mode but here if you use automode you’ll miss like 3 important sentences within a 5 minute span. Now imagine doing this S&M session for 30 chapters (common route) + 3-4 chapters per guy with like 10 guys or something…

(ノಥ益ಥ)ノ 彡┻━┻

So yea needless to say I quit that shit faster than Dyse says “Mezawari da.” during Real Rode’s battle scenes 😆 So just from a first impression I don’t recommend this hell of a game to anybody. The art isn’t even that great. The seiyuus are okay and maybe the characters might have been interesting but the premise is as fun as watching paint dry.  I’m open to trying any クソゲー you hand to me but there’s only so much b/s I can take \( ^o^)/

Well good thing I quit this game when the quitting was good as the story apparently is a piece of shit too.

Otome Game Review: Real Rode

Now normally the only RPG games I play are the MMO kind so I had almost rage quit this too but  as usual Koori helped me persevere and eventually I had things figured out. I also read Sharakael’s tips on the game so be sure to check those out for more useful information! If you’ve made it through Love Revo, then I can assure you that you can make it through this since essentially the effort is the same – but this game allows you to carry over character levels making each route a lot easier. The story is about our heroine Nina who is playing an otome RPG game (because she’s an otaku apparently) and then one morning she gets sucked into it! So now it’s up to US to play the game for her so she can get out of the land of Rode 😆 The ironic part being of course – Nina has a boyfriend! But what does she do? Get cozy with videogame hunks despite him later falling into the game as well and joining her party! /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ Warning I’ve included a  guide so this post is going to be long!
