Just for the hell of it I decided to go to Ntreev Soft’s website to see the history of Pangya services and see the never-ending drama with this game. Continue reading “The dramatic history of Pangya”

Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-
Himehibi is a Takuyo game so of course you can expect there to be crack as I learned from Little Aid. As expected though you can’t get with the crackiest character (until the sequel so I’ll save my fangirling for the next game.) The story is about Aizaki Koi (yes her name is KOI not Ren 😆 ) who finds out that apparently she has this grandpa who is the principal of an all boys school. Since her parents are abroad in some foreign country (what else is new) she is told to transfer to this school…and then it will become a co-ed school! But! Since she is the first female there, she of course becomes this huge idol and you have to play mini games to “earn fans” and do “fanservice” for them 😆 I guess if you don’t have enough fans your favorite bishie will not look your away oh noes. So she transfers to the male dorm with her 2 nukos Mii and Nyaa (possibly the best part of the game) and her room is right next to all the guys so they can be her knights in shining armor. Sadly the biggest turn off for this game for me was…cousincest. I don’t care how distant or close cousins they are, it’s still incest to me yuck. Playing the game though I forcefully put this information out of my mind so I could at least 萌え~ during the cute scenes lol. Spoilers ahead 😎 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-“
Pangya Europe just can’t get a break!
So looks like Galaxy Games is closing shop on Pangya Europe as of 12/31. This means that Pangya Global (?) now is opening its doors to European players to migrate themselves back here. They’re even offering compensation for European players in good standing or to those who have spent money with GG. Although since Pangya was their only game, I have a feeling SGI just…ate them up like they did with Ntreev USA 😯 Continue reading “Pangya Europe just can’t get a break!”
Thoughts regarding this whole PWC mess.

I’m glad that US gets to participate in the Pangya World Championship but the way it’s being handled on our side is pathetic. It’s pathetic to the point that I have to agree with that niconico commenter calling us DAMERICA because really that’s what it’s come down to.
On Japan you sign up, they give you a time, date, room and password so everyone has an equal chance to sign up. Additionally there are restrictions such as no rookies, quit rate less than 3% etc. What does the US do? Create a free for all nonsense tee time room, wait till it fills up with
1. idiots who don’t even know what PWC is and just jump into a room labeled “GM Tourney”
2. cheaters/hackers who can’t do mental math if you paid them and will be an embarrassment at PWC
3. morons who just want the initial prizes and if they happen to make it to PWC they will just run for it and we’ll have no actual candidates flying to Japan
4. actual pros (small %)
5. people who aren’t pros but want to try their luck
That’s funny somehow I wish this tourney was only for people in #4 and #5 categories but its obviously going to be mostly people in #1-3. And the best part is Ntreev/SGI thinks this is a great idea. They say “oh well we can point out pros instantly without having to do this tourney so we’re doing it to give everyone a chance.” Okay so you’re now excluding pros (who may not get in because some hacker got in) and letting some cheaters play and run off with prizes? Great idea guys! Way to embarrass America at PWC. Sigh I don’t even care anymore. I might try to get in for the hell of it even though I suck and I’ll be in like 90th place since I hate White Wiz anyway. 🙄
Also I find it ironic that this is for the American part of Pangya yet the tourney is being held at 4PM PST when most of west coast/central US players are at school or work. On east coast its 7PM so it’s ok for me but it seems like the time slot is better for no one other than Europe. What a joke honestly. 🙄
Otome Game Review: Hakushaku to Yousei ~Yume to Kizuna ni Omoi wo Hasete~
Well since I saw the anime 2 years ago and it had a really crappy ending, I figured I’d play the game in hopes that we’d get more content and a better end. While we do indeed get more content and a better ending, we also get a bunch of unnecessary things. The entire game basically runs around Lydia reading some letters from people asking for help regarding some fairy related event. Lydia of course gets on top of things and as usual Edgar tags along. The game also started with a massive flashback to the anime using anime screencaps (and not good ones at that.) One of the episodes was also them basically taking the anime episode and using screencaps to turn it into a ‘story’. For someone who never watched the anime this may be okay, but since I saw the anime I was really annoyed having to see the same crap all over again.
