Our nameless heroine (who once again I’ve defaulted to Mary Sue) finds herself in a predicament: she cannot properly fall in love! All her friends have boyfriends and she’s the only one left who is single. No matter what guys try hitting on her, she responds like a log and she feels like she’s just not meant for romance. Her friends tell her there’s a legend that if you go up to the highest part of the school building (aka the rooftop) and throw off a yellow handkerchief, Renai Bancho will come and solve all your romantic problems. Mary’s an insatiable ho, so she throws a rainbow handkerchief off and instead of 1, she gets 6 banchos + one in training, Yasu to help her get her love life back on track.

Otome Game Review: Love Drops (PS2)
So for old time’s sake I decided to replay my first otome game, Love Drops for the PS2. Obviously this means taking out all the pr0n, adding new scenes and there’s actually a new character. This will be mostly a comparison post rather than a full summary. For the original game summary please see my PC game post.
Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta XXX
So the XXX stands for kiss kiss kiss rather than porn…I don’t think they thought about their naming idea all the way through 😆 So anyway fandisk time! There are some positives over the last game. The CG quality has improved (slightly) and the choices are no longer timed. The cutouts in the dialogue box match the standing ones in the middle now too. Unfortunately there’s only about 24 CGs total and they completely removed the heroine’s voice. Bummer. That means I can’t go multi tasking or I miss half the dialogue ┐(‘~`;)┌ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta XXX”
Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta
I didn’t realize this game got 1 star ratings on Amazon Japan until I was almost done with the first route….and I could definitely agree with everything that was said. But you know me and my thing for playing terrible otome games so I plowed through it anyway! 😆 The story is about a girl named Rumina who is the princess of the Saint Foria space colony (pardon the spelling I’m sure I butchered all these Katakana names.) This colony is located in an enclosed space. Rumina is pretty ignorant being a princess and all and has no idea that the people of her kingdom are suffering – until she runs out of the castle one day to see what the common folk are doing. She then gets to travel the universe and even meet the King of Gaia (aka earth) where she learns that people should not be treated as slaves and actually PAID for their work! (something our current US economy could learn but anyway *cough). So yea since she’s a princess and all, she’s gotta marry some rich dude so the kingdoms can merge and we avoid international intrigue over war and wealth! Otome Game Review: Himehibi -New Princess Days- Zoku! Nigakki
This game is a direct sequel to the first game I played prior to it. This time, our past heroine Koi has gone to study abroad in France with Masaya and Nao so now the school is back to being all dudes. They opened up registration for girls but because it will take 2 years for them to finish building the girls dorm, not a single female has enrolled. Meanwhile elsewhere a girl who lives alone with her older brother is told they are going to have to move. Her brother gets a job at Tenjouji Gakuen and so she is forced to move up there with him (since the school is in the middle of some mountain lol.) When they get there and find out its all guys they are both upset and her brother says they will only stay there for a month. Nanami, our new heroine, agrees to this but at the same time Ken attacks the prey while it’s still fresh and revives the Princess club 😆 Nanami ends up staying in Koi’s old room and is told she would be Koi’s room mate when she returned from France. Spoilers ahead~! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Himehibi -New Princess Days- Zoku! Nigakki”
