Otome Game Review: KLAP!! ~Kind Love and Punish~

Koyomi dreams of being a teacher but after she applies to many schools, she gets nothing but rejections. One day, she finally receives an acceptance letter at school deep in some mountain. After finally making her way there and meeting a bunch of weirdos & delinquents, she arrives at the principal’s office only to discover that he’s an ayakashi! He tells her that their entire school & town harbors ayakashi (also referred to as yuuma), especially ones who cannot control their powers and would be a hazard to human beings. In order to “train” to contain their powers, he has set up this school and Koyomi is now one of the “disciplinary teachers”. Once the ayakashi at the school “graduate” they will receive a “license” that allows them to leave this village and live amongst humans as they are no longer a threat. The reason Koyomi was chosen is she has a strong connection to spirits due to her family being shrine owners with relatives being onmyoujis. The principal makes a deal to give her a good reference to a human school if she works at their school for 1 year. The scope of her job is….to whip her students into shape. (◉◞౪◟◉`)ノ~~✧

Otome Game Review: Code: Realize ~Sousei no Himegimi~

It’s 1853 in the outskirts of England where our heroine Cardia lives forever alone in a dirty abandoned house because daddy told her so.  By living alone she basically just sits in her room all day wishing for her life to end because nothing really matters anymore. The queen’s royal guards lead by Leon Hard (I swear I think it’s Leonhart lol) break into her house to try and capture her. The thing is, she’s not an easy pray because her dad has coined her a “monster” due to the fact that anything she touches melts like it’s being burned with acid. When one of the guard dogs tries to bite her, it melts his face off. Fortunately, master thief Arsene Lupin rescues her and then tells her that she has a stone on her chest called the Horologium which was implanted into her body by her father Isaac Beckford. Lupin is on the search for both Isaac and those who are behind the terrorist attacks in London. Since Cardia wants to find her father as well and figure out wtf he really wanted her to do, she comes along and so their steampunk adventure begins.

Otome Game Review: Minus Eight (-8)

Yaotome Rei is about to start her first year of high school but she didn’t get into the school she wanted. The reason is her middle school senpais wasted her time with studying too much or slacking off too much and she ended up failing all her entrance exams. The only school that accepts her is a school that takes in the most disappointing students in all of Japan. Rei decides she’ll try her best anyway until she finds out that the school’s gonna be shut down mid year because the principal is also an idiot 😆 The principal says that the only way to save the school from getting shut down is to…..fall in love! By showing that the school is full of raburabu couples, apparently they will get a large sum of money (probably because Japan’s birth rate is abysmally low www). Now it’s up to Rei to find the man of her dreams, but unfortunately she only has a bunch of losers to choose from.

Otome Game Review: Shiratsuyu no Kai

Ichikawa Tsuyuha is a photography student in a slump who hears voices calling out to her, so she always goes out to random places and often gets into some predicament, much to the dismay of her babysitter Shin. One of her adventures leads her into the woods one day where she runs into a bunch of high school teenage boys. Since apparently they all like dem older ladies (and by older I mean only like 1-2 years)  they invite oneesan~ into their wood shack to tell scary stories! The stories aren’t actually scary and after getting locked in the shack, they discover a hidden passageway  through the wardrobe which leads into some underground dungeon. After discovering the bloody remains down there, our heroine  starts having TV signal problems which turn into a pattern of blackouts. Turns out visiting this place has caused a cursed seal to appear on her neck in the shape of a creepy hand. In other words, welcome to the Japanese rendition of Are You Afraid of the Dark!
