Otome Game Review: The Exorcism of Maria ~Complete Edition~

Mary Crow is a young exorcist and she’s sent to a Japanese priest school from the Vatican to further enhance her studies. I don’t know why the hell anyone would send someone to learn about western religion in an eastern country BUT LET’S ROLL WITH IT! When she comes to Japan she’s given the name Maria, but Maria’s job isn’t just to study. Her job is to help exorcise demons that keep attacking the school, as well as attacking her. Turns out Maria is a demon magnet because she has a cursed blood flowing through her which is a curse that’s been passed through thousands of years in the Crow family lineage.  Fortunately the secret of Maria’s exorcism powers are the fact that she has contracted with a demon named Uriel when she was a loli. He’s like her pokemon who will go out, beat up the demons and then eat them as a tasty snack. All Maria ever does is just throw some holy water or smack them with a bible 😆 Unfortunately these little low rank demons are just busywork for Maria who’s now the target of an organization called Hellfire, as they are trying to use her as a sacrifice to summon the great demon Azazel.

Otome Game Review: Musketeer ~The Blood of the Knights~

So remember the good ol’ tale of the 3 Musketeers? Otomate came up with a BRILLIANT idea using the concept “what if D’Artagnan was a WOMAN and instead of being bffs with the 3 musketeers she got to hit dat sheit?” And so Musketeer was born! Our story starts when our heroine named D’Artagnan, (which I’m seriously shortening to Darty cause I’m not about to type that name out over & over in this post) is sent out to town to do some errands by her father. When she returns, some evil Gargoyle demon is attacking her father but being fragile & womanly all she can do is watch in horror as her father gets killed. Suddenly a hot dude shows up telling her that he was her father’s former pupil at the Chevalier school. He tells her that if she goes there she’ll find out the reason why her father was killed and will be able to train to get stronger!  D’Artagnan decides it’s a good idea and decides to enroll there. She trains with the teachers on sword fighting and while there runs into the 3 most popular mans at the school: the 3 Musketeers.  However, there’s a rule that if someone challenges you to a duel and you accept, the loser must swear loyalty to the opponent.

Otome Game Review: Death Connection

So while the opening does feel like a ripoff Cowboy Bebop and the game feels like Bloody Call meets Bleach I still enjoyed it immensely. If you like Bloody Call then I definitely recommend this. Man it’s been a while since I played an otome game with an actual decent story lol. The story is about a girl who was abandoned as a baby at a church by her mother who was hurt and killed. She was raised by the priest there not knowing who her parents are and was raised along side of a boy whose family was killed by some mafia. They were raised like brother and sister to be priest and nun. A few years later on one day the mafia randomly attacked the church and the boy, Joshua, took the girl Amelia and ran away. They encounter a man named Jean who takes them to a large house. Spoilers beyond this point. Skip to my final thoughts if you don’t want to read them!
