Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho 2 -Midnight Lesson!!!-

So following the first game, we now have a different heroine (who I’ve named Hiro In because Mary Sue was last game 😆 ) that’s got love problems. Her friends tell her about the renai banchos but she’s already well aware of it because she’s heard of the “Legendary Angel!” aka the first game’s Mary Sue. One day a flying chibi girl named Katherine gives Hiro a rainbow handkerchief saying to throw it up near a tree in the courtyard, rather than off the school rooftop like before. As she walks around confused a bunch of random guys, who she thinks are transfer students, ask her about the handkerchief but she lies saying she doesn’t have it. When she gets home she runs into Koakuma Bancho who tells her to stop lying and that throwing the handkerchief during a full moon will make something good happen to her. She goes back to the school courtyard at night and throws the handkerchief and immediately gets 8 hot men at her service. As like with Mary Sue, Hiro can now pick one of them to be her boyfriend for a year to teach her the ways of love.

Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho

Our nameless heroine (who once again I’ve defaulted to Mary Sue) finds herself in a predicament: she cannot properly fall in love! All her friends have boyfriends and she’s the only one left who is single. No matter what guys try hitting on her, she responds like a log and she feels like she’s just not meant for romance. Her friends tell her there’s a legend that if you go up to the highest part of the school building (aka the rooftop) and throw off a yellow handkerchief, Renai Bancho will come and solve all your romantic problems. Mary’s an insatiable ho, so she throws a rainbow handkerchief off and instead of 1, she gets 6 banchos + one in training, Yasu to help her get her love life back on track.

Otome Game Review: Vitamin X to Z

So concluding my Vitamin Tour will be the fandisk for both Vitamin X AND Z! That’s right D3P decided to shove everyone together into one game and throw it on to the PSP! The good news is since both games have already been ported to the PSP this included adjusting some of the stand in pics for X as well as adding new ones in. The game came out this year so the artist has significantly leveled up and so the CGs were quite pleasant to look at. Best part of all – each guy’s route is only 4 chapters and *gasp* NO STUPID EXAMS! Yippie! The story takes place “in the middle” of the scenario of the original X & Z games but the endings then take place AFTER the endings of X&Z. Basically the gang of X go to a winter lodge for a week before new years while the Z gang then go visit the same vacation house in the summer along with GTR, Kagetora & Kamijou + the bears. Both Yuri & Manami are in イケメン heaven as they get to いちゃこら while enjoying a relaxing time in the hotsprings or going wild at the summer festival.

Otome Game Review: Vitamin Z

So continuing from the previous game Vitamin X, our former heroine Minami Yuri decided she wants to teach the fuck out of the entire world so she decides to go traveling. Due to this her position opens up, and a girl who just graduated college and is looking for a job gets an offer from her. This girl’s name is Kitamori Manami and she’s now the new teacher in charge of the reject class at that school. Fortunately for her there’s only 4 idiots this time, the Aho-4 and our favorite B6 (beautiful 6 now 😆 ) guys from the last game are back as teachers to help her out! プッ(※థэథ)∵.*.∵ On top of that she has the 3 senseis who form the GTR – Great Teachers R (all their first names start with R) that help her with the crazy principal who looks like a vampire, with his little butt kissing assistant to drive her crazy. If that wasn’t bad she also has 2 twins from the student council to deal with. Manami’s got a lot on her plate, so will she be able to fill in Yuri’s shoes?

Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake de Tsukamaete ・ Natsu Chigira Sansen!

So here we have the fandisk for Kaerubatake! I don’t know if Takuyo got fan input or what but the design of this was so much better in every way! For example you get to run through the after story and another story just like a VN without having to torture yourself with mini games. If you want bonus omakes like an extra illustration or some bonus voices then you gotta beat the characters in poker and black jack. (Both games I suck at so good thing I have my husband to tell me what to do! 😆 ) The point is, it was very enjoyable. The artist leveled up and the CGs were of much better quality than before (especially the profile pics.) There were also nice bonuses like detailed interviews with the characters such as what they like, dislike, etc. Additionally! If you left Fuu’s name default, the characters all said her name! Hallelujah! This way we’re not always hearing “anta” or “omae” 😆 While I had beef with the first game, I cannot say enough great things about how much I enjoyed the fandisk.
