Otome Game Review: Kago no Naka no Alicis

And so after Bloody Call, Icing Candy has released their 2nd game. The artwork is slightly different but the premise is a lot brighter and has a more otome feel to it than the dark feeling of BC. The story here is about a kingdom named Ruche that is directly connected with the Tree of Gemut. A long time ago the gods left the kingdom and the tree began to wilt. One day a girl shed some tears and it helped the tree revive. This girl decided that she would pour all her feelings into this tree to save the kingdom so she was locked up in this cage while she provided life energy for the tree. One day she fell in love with a man and her feelings began to go towards him instead of the tree. The Gemut tree began to wilt once more and so the man she was in love with decided to free her from the cage. Unfortunately upon doing this, the girl immediately died. The man was so heartbroken that his feelings of rage caused darkness to create an evil aura and so he created his own kingdom of Noir. Usually the Ruche kingdom has daylight 24/7 but when Noir strikes it becomes suddenly dark 😆 Because Noir causes damage to the Tree of Gamut, now Ruche is looking for a new “Alicis” who will use their life energy to basically keep the tree going! So much for the “white” kingdom being good eh? So now one day a girl named Sumeragi Runa is abducted from Japan by a loli & shota named L & M who tell her that she has to be the next Alicis. Otome Game Review: Real Rode

Now normally the only RPG games I play are the MMO kind so I had almost rage quit this too but  as usual Koori helped me persevere and eventually I had things figured out. I also read Sharakael’s tips on the game so be sure to check those out for more useful information! If you’ve made it through Love Revo, then I can assure you that you can make it through this since essentially the effort is the same – but this game allows you to carry over character levels making each route a lot easier. The story is about our heroine Nina who is playing an otome RPG game (because she’s an otaku apparently) and then one morning she gets sucked into it! So now it’s up to US to play the game for her so she can get out of the land of Rode 😆 The ironic part being of course – Nina has a boyfriend! But what does she do? Get cozy with videogame hunks despite him later falling into the game as well and joining her party! /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ Warning I’ve included a  guide so this post is going to be long! Otome Game Review: Edel Blume

Story is about  our heroine Mary who is an apprentice nun that does her daily nunly duties and helps out with the church and orphanage. She has 2 childhood friends, one who is a teacher. One day a man named Gerald comes and says he will take her with him back to the castle in the forest on her 16th birthday, as his wife. The castle is forbidden to all of the villagers and Mary doesn’t exactly want to leave all her nun BFFs and her 2 hot childhood friends behind. Whatever will she do? Otome Game Review: Last Escort 3 -Club Katze-

So with our final (I hope) installment of the escort series here comes Club Katze! (Katze is German for cat apparently.) To be honest this game feels a lot like LE1 than LE2. They took out all the annoying extras from LE2 (room decoration, touch/look/feel, mini games) and  basically added the features that LE1 was lacking (scene skip, anytime save). Just like with LE1 present making and lottery has come back but for lottery you would just win randomly based on your leveled up stats and the presents would always just “auto succeed” based on your stats. While the game overall was a lot easier and less annoying (pretty much no repeat dialogue during the host visits and before/after scenes) the music and the art took a hit instead. /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ The music just sounded like some bland 1950s gangster movie combined with elevator music and well the art….let’s just say some of the characters just grossed me out period 😆 Our heroine is Takaoka Izumi who is forced to attend Club Katze as part of her job (as a spy or something??) but it doesn’t matter as her personality is as flat as a board. Otome Game Review: Sangoku Rensenki ~Otome no Heihou~

This is basically Fushigi Yuugi x Romance of the Three Kingdoms story. A girl named Yamada Hana (nice generic name!) gets sucked into the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms book and from there she has to help with war strategies in order to bring peace and stop the fighting! That’s great, except I really don’t give a crap about battle tactics! Really let the game decide it for me! I don’t care who wins or loses as long as I get some kissing/confessions at the end. I think I picked the wrong game to play 😐 Spoilers ahead~! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Sangoku Rensenki ~Otome no Heihou~”
