Otome Game Review: Starry Sky ~After Autumn~

And so we have the Autumn fan disk. The game features “Another Story” for each teacher which basically starts off 5 years after the bad ends of the first game. The “After Story” then starts off from the “good ends” of the game and goes on until past Tsukiko graduating from college and marrying the guy. In addition, there’s a common route which has 5 different endings for the 5 skittles, that were introduced in the PSP game. Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers as usual..

Otome Game Review: Last Escort 3 -Club Katze-

So with our final (I hope) installment of the escort series here comes Club Katze! (Katze is German for cat apparently.) To be honest this game feels a lot like LE1 than LE2. They took out all the annoying extras from LE2 (room decoration, touch/look/feel, mini games) and  basically added the features that LE1 was lacking (scene skip, anytime save). Just like with LE1 present making and lottery has come back but for lottery you would just win randomly based on your leveled up stats and the presents would always just “auto succeed” based on your stats. While the game overall was a lot easier and less annoying (pretty much no repeat dialogue during the host visits and before/after scenes) the music and the art took a hit instead. /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ The music just sounded like some bland 1950s gangster movie combined with elevator music and well the art….let’s just say some of the characters just grossed me out period 😆 Our heroine is Takaoka Izumi who is forced to attend Club Katze as part of her job (as a spy or something??) but it doesn’t matter as her personality is as flat as a board. Otome Game Review: Hakarena Heart ~Kimi ga Tameni Kagayaki wo~

The story is about a girl named Himemiya Yukari who lives in a huge house with her loli mother and Gendo Ikari father. Everything seems normal until one day after school she runs into some guy who grabs her by the arm saying he “needs her” and then suddenly a phantom thief on a horse shows up and saves her!? Everything just gets weirder from there when suddenly the guy who grabbed her comes to live at their house claiming to be her “cousin” whose family is “abroad and wants him to study Japanese culture”. All of a sudden an army trap, the phantom thief, a shota angel, a ninja and some crazy dude who wants to kill her – all move into her house! They’re all after her special magical stone which she has no idea about. Now she has to spend the rest of her days as everyone fights over her while trying to be your average school girl! /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Hakarena Heart ~Kimi ga Tameni Kagayaki wo~”

Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake de Tsukamaete ・ Natsu Chigira Sansen!

So here we have the fandisk for Kaerubatake! I don’t know if Takuyo got fan input or what but the design of this was so much better in every way! For example you get to run through the after story and another story just like a VN without having to torture yourself with mini games. If you want bonus omakes like an extra illustration or some bonus voices then you gotta beat the characters in poker and black jack. (Both games I suck at so good thing I have my husband to tell me what to do! 😆 ) The point is, it was very enjoyable. The artist leveled up and the CGs were of much better quality than before (especially the profile pics.) There were also nice bonuses like detailed interviews with the characters such as what they like, dislike, etc. Additionally! If you left Fuu’s name default, the characters all said her name! Hallelujah! This way we’re not always hearing “anta” or “omae” 😆 While I had beef with the first game, I cannot say enough great things about how much I enjoyed the fandisk. Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake De Tsukamaete

Happy New Year! Following last year’s tradition I bring you an otome game review as the first post of 2011! The story is about a girl named Sagano Fuu who is in the broadcasting club. They decide they’re out of stuff to talk about so they go out looking for the 7 wonders of the world. They stumble upon some frog shrine and being the typical stupid teenagers they break a stone disk inside of it. The frog god curses them and they all turn into frogs. 😯 Suddenly a 3 tailed cat spirit named Touya, shows up and makes them a deal: he will return them into human form but only if they repent by cleaning/taking care of the shrine and the eco system. So from here on Fuu and her dumb male counterparts are forced to stay at the dorm together and take care of the eco system for a month in order to not turn into KeroKoi. What happens when you put 4 guys into a dorm with a girl? Should be pretty obvious 😆 Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers~! Also I apologize in advance if the review sounds wonky because I started this game the day I got my wisdom tooth taken out so I’ve been on meds the entire time I was playing it エヘヘ(●´▽`●)ゞ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake De Tsukamaete”
