Otome Game Review: The Wizard & the Master

From the graveyard of Quin Rose, I’ve finally picked up & finished Wizard & Master! I originally had the PC version but I couldn’t get started on it because I didn’t want to deal with yet another grueling battle/stat raiser system like Crimson Empire or Arabian’s Lost. Thankfully Quin Rose made the Vita port a straight VN but just like with Alice, it was at the cost of a lot of CGs on the chopping block. (;´・ω・) Oh well our story begins in the country of Rune Venus where everyone can use magic – everyone except our heroine Alicia who has 0 magic powers (or so she thinks.) In order to inherit the throne, princess Alicia has 25 weeks to find a powerful wizard husbando or else she gets sent back to the countryside and loses her inheritance. It’s a fateful half a year, will Alicia be able to secure her wizard ikeman? 😆

Otome Game Review: Queen of Flowers

Let’s see how many people dismiss this post because I translated Reine des Fleurs from French to English . Honestly, I cannot take this game seriously. It was very difficult for me to write this review. As I am writing this post after finishing the game I wish I could jump back in time and cancel my preorder. I’m not even gonna bother summarizing the story here because the entire thing is a sham and coverup for the real truth behind the whole game. If you wish to see the truth behind what really happens, read after the jump at your own risk. Warning: Extreme rage and sarcasm ahead. Though honestly, you should just spoil yourself to give yourself a reason to never play this game and just buy the artbook for Kagerou’s pretty artworks….as that is basically this game’s only SAVING GRACE (PUN INTENDED) (;´Д`) Everyone else feel free to skip to my final rage thoughts. But remember folks, just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean that YOU shouldn’t like it. This is after all just my personal opinion and experience with the game! Otome Game Review: KLAP!! ~Kind Love and Punish~

Koyomi dreams of being a teacher but after she applies to many schools, she gets nothing but rejections. One day, she finally receives an acceptance letter at school deep in some mountain. After finally making her way there and meeting a bunch of weirdos & delinquents, she arrives at the principal’s office only to discover that he’s an ayakashi! He tells her that their entire school & town harbors ayakashi (also referred to as yuuma), especially ones who cannot control their powers and would be a hazard to human beings. In order to “train” to contain their powers, he has set up this school and Koyomi is now one of the “disciplinary teachers”. Once the ayakashi at the school “graduate” they will receive a “license” that allows them to leave this village and live amongst humans as they are no longer a threat. The reason Koyomi was chosen is she has a strong connection to spirits due to her family being shrine owners with relatives being onmyoujis. The principal makes a deal to give her a good reference to a human school if she works at their school for 1 year. The scope of her job is….to whip her students into shape. (◉◞౪◟◉`)ノ~~✧

Otome Game Review: Shinobi Koi Utsutsu ~Setsugekka Koi Emaki~

Welcome to the Vita port of my favorite game of 2014! Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the original game, the “new” stuff just did not meet my expectations so this won’t be as a raving review as before. This review will only cover the new stuff, so for the original ninja action please check here. The story this time focuses on the 4 new ninjas Toyotomi Hidetora, Kirigakure Tadahito, Ukita Yoshiie and Hattori Hanzo. Toyotomi Hidetora, the next in line to be shogun,  with his loyal servant Hattori Hanzo come to the ninja school and announce that the person who scores best on the next ninja exam will basically get a free pass to enter the Sanada Army loyal to the Toyotomi house. Ukita Yoshie crawls out from under a rock for some reason even though he’s been held back for like 3 years and is now 20 years old at the school (worse than Garaiya!!) Hidetora and Hanzo both announce that they will be students from this day on, mostly cause Hidetora ran around acting like an idiot and his parents wanted him to get trained to be a proper shogun. Unfortunately, Kaede is so shocked by finding out who Hidetora is, that all her training jumps out the window and her jutsu goes off STRONGER THAN EVER! Now anyone who is hit under it thinks that Kaede is already their girlfriend/wife lol. Sanada sensei tells everyone since they already have approval to join  the Sanada Yuushitai, they are no longer eligible to be with Kaede! She must now choose from Hidetora, Hanzo, Ukita or Tadahito.  It’s now up to Kaede to pick her destined dude to win and once again try to train her meromero jutsu under control!

Otome Game Review: Norn 9 -Last Era-

This is the fandisk for Norn9 that I’ve been dragging on for a month due to getting new apartments, new furniture and new computers. Fortunately it’s also because oddly enough it had a lot of content for a fandisk. (The value of the content may vary by person but I personally enjoyed it.) There’s 4 sections, Prelude – the intro of how everyone came on the ship, Fuga – the original game digest from the guy’s POV, Concerto – the continuing after story and Fantasia – a bonus omake with everyone turning into chibi characters. Spoilers ahead so skip to my final thoughts to avoid them as  usual!
