Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake de Tsukamaete ・ Natsu Chigira Sansen!

So here we have the fandisk for Kaerubatake! I don’t know if Takuyo got fan input or what but the design of this was so much better in every way! For example you get to run through the after story and another story just like a VN without having to torture yourself with mini games. If you want bonus omakes like an extra illustration or some bonus voices then you gotta beat the characters in poker and black jack. (Both games I suck at so good thing I have my husband to tell me what to do! 😆 ) The point is, it was very enjoyable. The artist leveled up and the CGs were of much better quality than before (especially the profile pics.) There were also nice bonuses like detailed interviews with the characters such as what they like, dislike, etc. Additionally! If you left Fuu’s name default, the characters all said her name! Hallelujah! This way we’re not always hearing “anta” or “omae” 😆 While I had beef with the first game, I cannot say enough great things about how much I enjoyed the fandisk. Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake De Tsukamaete

Happy New Year! Following last year’s tradition I bring you an otome game review as the first post of 2011! The story is about a girl named Sagano Fuu who is in the broadcasting club. They decide they’re out of stuff to talk about so they go out looking for the 7 wonders of the world. They stumble upon some frog shrine and being the typical stupid teenagers they break a stone disk inside of it. The frog god curses them and they all turn into frogs. 😯 Suddenly a 3 tailed cat spirit named Touya, shows up and makes them a deal: he will return them into human form but only if they repent by cleaning/taking care of the shrine and the eco system. So from here on Fuu and her dumb male counterparts are forced to stay at the dorm together and take care of the eco system for a month in order to not turn into KeroKoi. What happens when you put 4 guys into a dorm with a girl? Should be pretty obvious 😆 Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers~! Also I apologize in advance if the review sounds wonky because I started this game the day I got my wisdom tooth taken out so I’ve been on meds the entire time I was playing it エヘヘ(●´▽`●)ゞ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake De Tsukamaete”

Otome Game Review: Himehibi -New Princess Days- Zoku! Nigakki

This game is a direct sequel to the first game I played prior to it. This time, our past heroine Koi has gone to study abroad in France with Masaya and Nao so now the school is back to being all dudes. They opened up registration for girls but because it will take 2 years for them to finish building the girls dorm, not a single female has enrolled. Meanwhile elsewhere a girl who lives alone with her older brother is told they are going to have to move. Her brother gets a job at Tenjouji Gakuen and so she is forced to move up there with him (since the school is in the middle of some mountain lol.) When they get there and find out its all guys they are both upset and her brother says they will only stay there for a month. Nanami, our new heroine, agrees to this but at the same time Ken attacks the prey while it’s still fresh and revives the Princess club 😆 Nanami ends up staying in Koi’s old room and is told she would be Koi’s room mate when she returned from France. Spoilers ahead~! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Himehibi -New Princess Days- Zoku! Nigakki”

Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-

Himehibi is a Takuyo game so of course you can expect there to be crack as I learned from Little Aid. As expected though you can’t get with the crackiest character (until the sequel so I’ll save my fangirling for the next game.) The story is about Aizaki Koi (yes her name is KOI not Ren 😆 ) who finds out that apparently she has this grandpa who is the principal of an all boys school. Since her parents are abroad in some foreign country (what else is new) she is told to transfer to this school…and then it will become a co-ed school! But! Since she is the first female there, she of course becomes this huge idol and you have to play mini games to “earn fans” and do “fanservice” for them 😆 I guess if you don’t have enough fans your favorite bishie will not look your away oh noes. So she transfers to the male dorm with her 2 nukos Mii and Nyaa (possibly the best part of the game) and her room is right next to all the guys so they can be her knights in shining armor. Sadly the biggest turn off for this game for me was…cousincest. I don’t care how distant or close cousins they are, it’s still incest to me yuck. Playing the game though I forcefully put this information out of my mind so I could at least 萌え~ during the cute scenes lol. Spoilers ahead 😎 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Himehibi -Princess Days-“

Otome Game Review: Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo!!

For starters this is the most complicated otome game I’ve ever played. If you think you can just click your way through choices and stuff you’ve got another thought coming. This game requires you to take our 100kg heroine Hitomi, and get her down to 55 or less within a years time period. Not only that but you have to also get her to become pretty, smart, athletic and all around a non-existantly perfect human being for any of the bishies to even like her and get a good end with her. Actually apparently she used to be a beauty queen when she was a loli but her siscon oniichan spoiled her with candy so she became a tub of lard. The other problem I had was that a lot of the online guides are only for the DS or PS2 version. While most of the stuff is the same, the keywords at the end were completely different and I had to google for 3 different guides because the first time I played through I didn’t get the bishie’s good end arggh! (Warning: This post is REALLY REALLY long.) Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo!!”
