Otome Game Review: Senjou no Waltz

Our heroine Ran is a village girl who has trained sword skills with her father every day. Due to this she never really had time for romance and because daddy would scare all the village boys away :lol:. One day however, her village is attacked by the neighboring village and father is assassinated. Some faceless dudes attack Ran and her mother & sister demanding that she hand over the demon sword that’s in this village. Ran heard a legend about it but has no idea what they are talking about. She tries to defend everyone but is outnumbered – until she just so happens to awaken the demon sword sleeping in a shrine nearby! She kills everyone around her and then passes out, waking up at a military school by the name of Nirvana. The queen of her country, Kiora, informs her that she’s to stay at Nirvana so they can keep an eye on the sword that is now directly connected to her soul. They promise to keep her mother and sister safe, but a lot of sexist pigs at the school are butthurt that this little girl gets to have this badass demon sword. Otome Game Review: Code: Realize ~Sousei no Himegimi~

It’s 1853 in the outskirts of England where our heroine Cardia lives forever alone in a dirty abandoned house because daddy told her so. By living alone she basically just sits in her room all day wishing for her life to end because nothing really matters anymore. The queen’s royal guards lead by Leon Hard (I swear I think it’s Leonhart lol) break into her house to try and capture her. The thing is, she’s not an easy pray because her dad has coined her a “monster” due to the fact that anything she touches melts like it’s being burned with acid. When one of the guard dogs tries to bite her, it melts his face off. Fortunately, master thief Arsene Lupin rescues her and then tells her that she has a stone on her chest called the Horologium which was implanted into her body by her father Isaac Beckford. Lupin is on the search for both Isaac and those who are behind the terrorist attacks in London. Since Cardia wants to find her father as well and figure out wtf he really wanted her to do, she comes along and so their steampunk adventure begins.

Otome Game Review: Marginal#4 ~Idol of Supernova~

Kataoka Yue is assigned by her agency to start a new idol unit. It consists of individual idols who had no luck flying solo so now they’re combined into the group called Marginal#4. Despite their complaints the agency head tells them to do it or else! Now Yue must work her butt off to get whip these boys into top idols.

Otome Game Review: Burning Passion Superpower Club -Trigger Kiss-

It’s year 2085, and our heroine Sendou Futaba has just transferred to Akizuki high school. On her first day though, she’s tricked into joining the superpower club. The club leader, Azuma, desperate to bring the club back to life, is given an ultimatum by the principal: win this year’s national championship or the club will be shut down forever! The club has been suspended due to an assault incident at a competition 2 years ago and with all the other members leaving, they are in dire need of recruits. Due to a personal incident in the past, Futaba just wanted to hide her superpowers and attend school like an average student….unlike her mother who is one of the most powerful superpower users in the world. Angry that she was fooled to join the club, Futaba wants to ragequit but they beg her to stick around for at least the preliminary round. It’s not until then, that she’s forced to reveal her embarrassing power: Trigger Kiss – a power which allows Futaba to power up her allies by kissing them. (*´∀｀)

Otome Game Review: Binary Star

It’s 50 years into the future, in the country of Cloud. Cloud’s been plagued with a massive drug war on the drug called “Star” and has been ignored by other countries to help stop the spread. The drug, like any drug, has destroyed families and caused gang wars and mass murders. In order to combat the ongoing problem of both dealers and drug abusers (coined as “Stardust”), a team of “Angels” has been formed. These angels go around trying to capture and rehabilitate the drug abusers in order to help get to the root of the problem, and to put an end to the drug war. Our heroine, Sorano Fuu got involved in the drug war because her parents became dealers in order to support the family. Due to getting in a spat with another dealer, Fuu’s parents were killed when she was 7 years old. She was rescued by a pair of Angels and decided to then grow up and enroll in a special academy to become an Angel herself. Now 13 years later, Fuu is 20 and has graduated from the academy. She’s put in a team with 4 other Angels, Yun, Mict, Tchicai and Rayla and the leader Izuki, going on missions to try to find and capture the drug abusers in the town of Akatsuki. During the time spent with her team mates, she discovers more about their pasts with connections to her own. Lots of spoilery text ahead so skip to final thoughts to avoid as usual!
