LH x BS Campaign

I should probably stop moaning & groaning about Bright Shadow’s events but I mean this one is just like REALLY stupid. They want you to register a new account with Lucent Heart, then play 10 hours and reach level 20. Once you do this you will then get a stupid pet on Bright Shadow which does absolutely nothing (sorry Elephant-kun but my devil at least gives me magic +20 🙄 ) The prize you get on LH is even uglier so I imagine no one from LH is going to want to suddenly go & play BS. I mean I like Bright Shadow so I am going to be playing Bright Shadow. Why are you telling me to play ANOTHER game? 😯

I realized BS’s events are really stupid and mostly cash lottery items, but at least the game itself is redeeming enough that I can ignore this factor and enjoy the game as is (at least for now.)

Bright Shadow Game Notes & Gripes

bsnotes Since there’s really no English resource anywhere for Bright Shadow I guess my blog will have to be it for now. (Hopefully one day some company will pick this game up but who knows maybe it’s too expensive??) While playing BS for the past 2 weeks I learned a lot of new things and game mechanics which I figured I’d share instead of trying to explain them to you guys in game in the little chat box 😕

Bright Shadow English Guild

Ok so I managed to finally reach level 25 which was the minimum requirement for making a guild XD. So I’ve made the “newest” active English Bright Shadow guild called ☆英語☆. If you’d like to join you can always apply at any Guild person in towns or just message me in game (猫カフェ) for an invite. 🙂 The game’s been fun for the past couple days and thanks to quests we leveled super fast and managed to get decent equipment. I’ve somewhat figured out the way to get the pet, but when JP & I tried to do that quest we got owned by level 25 books. (Had to kill 175 of them in an hour to pass x_X;) I do want to try doing some of the lower level ones though in order to get that tiger mount (which I think at this time is the only mount you can get that isn’t a cash shop item.)

I may post some kind of basic interface guide if anyone is actually interested in playing this game. So far it’s just been me, JP and Alex but would be great if anyone else could play with us.

Progress in Bright Shadow

So anyway I’m having a blast at Bright Shadow. Sometimes I’m too lazy to read what the quest NPCs have to say to me but I do laugh when my options are like “god shot up, I’m sick of running around” 😆 Also what’s unique about BS’s quest system is you don’t just click “accept” or “cancel” you sometimes have to pick the right choices in different order or the NPC gets angry at you and doesn’t give you the quest! While a lot of quests involve a lot of running around you do get money and experience for them and it makes the time pass. Before you know you’ll have nya-tan flying and telling you that you’ve played for 5 hours and should go take a break (*´∀｀*)ﾉ

Irony at its finest.

So this morning I finally saw someone selling the +5 magic earring for 500,000 macca. I decided why not, its pretty rare that I see even anyone selling it so I blew all my remaining money on it. By evening we were grinding in Ichi silver and JP decided to do the 300AP lottery to try to get the 3x incense items.

…he won a Gabishi.
I tried it and won the incense! Yay, well I got some AP left why the hell not try again.

I won the +5 magic ring that I blew all my money on this morning. 🙄

Tried again….I won bunny ears.

OH THE IRONY! 😆 How funny when I don’t really want the “good” items, I finally get them lol. I did manage to sell the earring for the same price (almost instantly) though so it wasn’t a total loss. But from all the Megaten grinding today (gold, silver, bronze) my head feels like it’s going to explode. I think I’ll be taking a break tomorrow and concentrate on some wedding planning + art commissions instead xD.
