Well since I saw the anime 2 years ago and it had a really crappy ending, I figured I’d play the game in hopes that we’d get more content and a better end. While we do indeed get more content and a better ending, we also get a bunch of unnecessary things. The entire game basically runs around Lydia reading some letters from people asking for help regarding some fairy related event. Lydia of course gets on top of things and as usual Edgar tags along. The game also started with a massive flashback to the anime using anime screencaps (and not good ones at that.) One of the episodes was also them basically taking the anime episode and using screencaps to turn it into a ‘story’. For someone who never watched the anime this may be okay, but since I saw the anime I was really annoyed having to see the same crap all over again. Update on the honeybee fiasco.
Just checked the honeybee site (or what’s left of it) for the latest announcement. The good news is, the Starry Sky After Spring fandisk has not been canceled but instead has been postponed from 11/26 to a 12/10 release.
There’s no news regarding any of their 2011 scheduled releases because they are still investigating…hopefully we’ll still be able to see fandisks for the other seasons since Spring was adjusted for release.
Amazon Japan still lists it as 11/26. I hope anyone who pre-ordered from there is notified at least lol >_>
Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Zuisouroku~
This is the Hakuoki fandisk. Basically it gives you the opportunity to see some “extra scenes” inserted into some parts of the previous game. You also get extra CGs with your man of choice. Additionally you get a chance to get with guys you couldn’t get with in the original game XD. Each route was fairly short and as a completion reward you’d get a deredere letter from the guy to you telling about how much he loves you etc XD Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Zuisouroku~”
Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~
So after being incredibly late on the bandwagon, I decided to play Hakuoki (PS2 version). I saw the first season of the anime which helped me understand a bit of what’s going on but I can safely say the game is much better. For one thing, all the guys acknowledge Chizuru as a girl right off the bat so there’s no “gay intonation” crap that the anime pulled out of its ass ( ´_ゝ`). Seriously DEEN this isn’t a BL game why act like its a BL anime? Anyway the story is basically about the rise & fall of the Shinsengumi so without even having to spoil you guys…EVERYBODY DIES \( ^o^)/ Additionally I’d like to call this game ROID RAGE. I mean let’s face it, they all take this “Steroid water” which gives them incredible strength but then destroys their bodies and makes them go insane. It fits perfectly! 😆 With that in mind, more stuff after the jump! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~”
Otome Game Review: Arcobaleno!
Sorry I couldn’t find the PS2 op on youtube ・・・(=ェ=`;)シーン
So when I first heard about this game I thought it was something relating to Italian Mafia 😆 Turns out its about…Italian cooking! Our heroine Kayano Yuuna enrolls into a culinary university where she then gets to internship at a restaurant called Arcobaleno. The restaurant pasta there reminds me of this delicious pasta that she ate 10 years prior. So basically you spend the entire game raising stats (kinda like Love Revo but less hard core) by doing dishes, cooking, waiting at the restaurant along with all your sexy hot co-worker mans. (*´д`*)ハァハァ Also you need to take cooking exams in this game so yea playing it without a guide is just shooting yourself in the foot \( ^o^)/ Spoilers ahead as usual.
