Title sounds like a light novel mouthful which means “If there is a god in this world then…” The title itself is pretty ironic at the things that go down in the story but that was probably Rejet’s intention. The story starts when Kurumi Haruka, a lonely high school girl is forced to be part of the school field trip committee with 4 guys. All 5 of them receive letters one day from “themselves” that have a strange “wish” written on it. None of them have any idea what’s going on until a series of strange incidents begin happening around them. To find the true plot of the game, massive spoilers after the jump. If you plan to play this I suggest just skipping to my final thoughts at the bottom. If you do decide to read the spoilers, be warned, this isn’t for the faint of heart. Also warning: lots of text walls. Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Moshi, Kono Sekai ni Kamisama ga Iru to Suru Naraba.”

Otome Game Review: Crimson Empire ~Circumstances to Serve a Noble~
I ragequit this game back in 2008ish because I just couldn’t figure out the battle system…but then 7 years later Quinrose decided to port it to Vita with the battle system removed making it a straight VN. Ever since Quin Rose’s demise (and secret Otomate asset buyout) I figured this would be the first and last Quin Rose game I’ll play so I can go out with a bang! Our story is about Sheila Rozen, who was a child slave sold by her shitty family to a gang of assassins in Gil Katar led by none other than Curtis Nile who we saw in Arabian’s Lost! He then sold her and some of the other girls (including Chezjka who went to Aileen) to royalty to be their bodyguards. Sheila becomes the bodyguard for the 2nd in line prince Edvard and is also the head of the “maid bodyguard team”. Sheila learned to be a pro fighter thanks to Curtis’s special assassin school but she still has a weakness in which when she gets too excited – her nose bleeds. Her job is to make Edvard the king so she is extremely loyal to him, but she has to fraternize with all the royal dudes in order to gain their support. Oh and also, Sheila just so happened to have made a promise with the devil to give her soul to him upon her death. The game is basically a look into the day in the life of a Sheila and the people around her.

Otome Game Review: The Wizard & the Master
From the graveyard of Quin Rose, I’ve finally picked up & finished Wizard & Master! I originally had the PC version but I couldn’t get started on it because I didn’t want to deal with yet another grueling battle/stat raiser system like Crimson Empire or Arabian’s Lost. Thankfully Quin Rose made the Vita port a straight VN but just like with Alice, it was at the cost of a lot of CGs on the chopping block. (;´・ω・) Oh well our story begins in the country of Rune Venus where everyone can use magic – everyone except our heroine Alicia who has 0 magic powers (or so she thinks.) In order to inherit the throne, princess Alicia has 25 weeks to find a powerful wizard husbando or else she gets sent back to the countryside and loses her inheritance. It’s a fateful half a year, will Alicia be able to secure her wizard ikeman? 😆

Otome Game Review: Queen of Flowers
Let’s see how many people dismiss this post because I translated Reine des Fleurs from French to English . Honestly, I cannot take this game seriously. It was very difficult for me to write this review. As I am writing this post after finishing the game I wish I could jump back in time and cancel my preorder. I’m not even gonna bother summarizing the story here because the entire thing is a sham and coverup for the real truth behind the whole game. If you wish to see the truth behind what really happens, read after the jump at your own risk. Warning: Extreme rage and sarcasm ahead. Though honestly, you should just spoil yourself to give yourself a reason to never play this game and just buy the artbook for Kagerou’s pretty artworks….as that is basically this game’s only SAVING GRACE (PUN INTENDED) (;´Д`) Everyone else feel free to skip to my final rage thoughts. But remember folks, just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean that YOU shouldn’t like it. This is after all just my personal opinion and experience with the game! Otome Game Review: Clock Zero ~Shuuen no Ichibyou~ Ex Time
This was originally a review of the PS2 game, but due to me getting the Vita port I realized I had a lot of changes to make. One reason is I played the game 5 years ago and my Japanese improved a lot since then. A lot of stuff made more sense to me so instead of just making a bunch of edits everywhere I decided to just heavily rewrite the entire review. Parts of it are salvaged from my PS2 review but there’s a lot of new stuff added, adjusted as well as the fact that I’ve gone through & posted a summary of ALL 34 ENDINGS! \(^o^)/ The story is about a 12 year old girl Kurou Nadeshiko, who is a rich ojousama attending school with her childhood friend Riichiro. Ever since the transfer student Kaido Takato comes to her class, she seems to have dreams about being in another world every night. The world is a distorted and in ruins and she herself appears 10 years older. Kaga Akira sensei brings Nadeshiko, Takato, Riichiro and 4 other guys to do extra assignments after school. As the kids do these after school assignments, they call themselves team “Clock Zero”.
