Continuing the trend of “games that take place in America” this time instead of fake LA, Extend brings us my ultimate favorite of FAKE NYC! 😂 Our story involves a newspaper column writer Teuta, who is trying to make it big as a news reporter. She chases down an infamous defense lawyer named Limbo Fitzgerald to try to to get an interview with him but instead he drops dead in front of her eyes after being stabbed by a hitman. Teuta then uses her magical powers of being able to jump back to the past into a random person’s body and warns Limbo of his fate thereby saving his life. After she returns to her present body she meets up with him and his partner Shu at the local hipster cafe and they have trouble believing her not ruling out that she may be tricking them or be in cahoots with the criminals. They strike a deal that until they figure out whodunnit, she has to hang out with them, and in return, Limbo promises to be her housing lawyer to help her break her lease and move out. 😂 Please note there ARE SPOILERS below the jump so if you plan to play just scroll down to my final thoughts!
This is the sequel to the KBO series that basically takes place after the “normal” ending of the first game. In other words Hinako never got those otome endings with any of the guys, only friend ones and continues to be the bancho of Shishiku. A new first year student Sagara Tenma comes as a new character and constantly challenges Hinako until she kicks his ass as usual. The new thing now though, after the 2nd year ends, Shishiku’s gonna get destroyed because apparently they just discovered it was some site of an old war zone and there might be some bombs/traps that could be buried underneath. So after all these years they decided to tear it down. Now all the Shishiku guys need to find a new school to transfer to, but as luck would have it, the school Hikaru attends, all girl Kotobuki, decided they will become a mixed gender school the following year. As a test they want to take in all the Shishiku students.

Well this was certainly not your “average idol game”. Fujisaki Futaba works at the James company and the president Lily chooses her to become the new idol manager for the group Fortissimo. Futaba is a country bumpkin with no style or experience so thanks to hurls of insults from bratty underage teens and her strict boss, she ~blooms~ into a Cinderella. Hotori is your average high school student – except that she has 1 month left until her death. Two shinigami are sent down to earth have 1 month to watch over her and make sure she has no regrets left so she can descend into the after life. The two shinigami are Zen and Rikka, and if their mission succeeds, they will get a get out of hell free coupon to be reborn again. If they fail, they will be stuck doing shinigami work for all of eternity. Hotori starts to think about how to live her life to the fullest in the remaining time she has left, and one of the things on her bucket list is to confess to her crush Shizuru. Warning, this review ain’t gonna be pretty so if you thought the game was the best thing ever, reading past the jump may crush your hopes and dreams. 😂 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Un:Birthday Song -Koi wo Utau Shinigami- Another Record”
