The story is about Itou Aki who lives alone in an apartment and starts her first year in high school. The story takes place in the same school & town as Little Aid so the game reused a lot of the backgrounds and some of the sub characters from there are also back (i.e. Sawato..) One evening while Aki is taking a stroll on the beach she runs into some guy wearing arabian clothes and he claims that she will be his wife because of a mark on her hand. Turns out this guy is an alien prince from another planet. She’s all like ‘Uh no’ so his eyeball sidekick explains to her that if she wants to remove that mark, she needs to collect some color auras from people (i.e. anger, happiness, fear etc.) So now it’s up to Aki (and us) to collect all the colors and use the coffee machine Mariko 2002 to create the special potion to remove the mark. Additionally her pest problem is taken care of by none other than the ORIGINAL Tokunami Touya nuko (who I guess the guy’s soul took over in Kaeru Batake xD!) Galge Review: Kanon
Taking a break from otome games I decided to replay Kanon the PS2 version. I played in about 10 years ago, the PC version with no BGM, no voices and my Japanese level was pathetic where I didn’t understand anything anyway. I’m sure everyone & their grandma knows the story and/or watched both animes (i.e. me) but I figured I’d treat this like I treat all my reviews so expect a novel below! Please note this is the PS2 version so everyone was voiced (except Yuichi) and there was no unnecessary porn. The story is about Aizawa Yuichi who moves in with his aunt and cousin back to a town that he left 7 years ago. Due to a possible PTSD he’s forgotten a lot of stuff that happened 7 years ago and as he spends more time living there it’s all coming back to him now. Continue reading “Galge Review: Kanon”
Otome Game Review: Hakushaku to Yousei ~Yume to Kizuna ni Omoi wo Hasete~
Well since I saw the anime 2 years ago and it had a really crappy ending, I figured I’d play the game in hopes that we’d get more content and a better end. While we do indeed get more content and a better ending, we also get a bunch of unnecessary things. The entire game basically runs around Lydia reading some letters from people asking for help regarding some fairy related event. Lydia of course gets on top of things and as usual Edgar tags along. The game also started with a massive flashback to the anime using anime screencaps (and not good ones at that.) One of the episodes was also them basically taking the anime episode and using screencaps to turn it into a ‘story’. For someone who never watched the anime this may be okay, but since I saw the anime I was really annoyed having to see the same crap all over again. Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~In Summer~
Similarly to the spring version, the heroine is…YOU. No. The heroine is Yohisa Tsukiko and it feels really weird because all the guys from the previous games still go to her school but they’re basically background characters. In addition, there have been cameo appearances made by characters who will be in the autumn and winter games 😆 This time the story takes place from June – August, and the main focus is Tsukiko is now a member of the archery club where she gets to snag the top 3 arrow shooting bishies. I’ve been requested to tell what signs the guys are so….Azusa is Sagittarrius, Ryunosuke is Scorpio (like me!), and Homare is Taurus. The thing is – based on their birthdates though, Homare should be Gemini, Ryunosuke should be Sagittarius. Azusa is ok though he just makes the cut off date. I’m not really sure what astrology calendar the makers of this game are following to be honest lol. Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~In Summer~”
