Otome Game Review: Sora*Yume

The story is about Mizunaga Satsuki whose parents run some antique item store. One day she finds a ring in the storage room and it turns into some caped dude with a sword through his chest. She pulls the sword out and then he tells her the reason he’s not bleeding is because he’s a demon. She hears this and passes out and hears various ikemans proposing their love to her. She wakes up thinking it was all a dream until she wakes up to the demon-man right in her face. Turns out she’s released the seal of the ring and now he’s looking for the Heliotrope ring and asks Satsuki to help him find & destroy it. The reason is because anyone who puts the ring on will get their wishes granted, but at the expense that the ring will devour their blood until it merges with their body & turns them into a hateful blood sucking vampire. As Satsuki searches for the ring with the help of her tsukaima, she starts to discover many things about herself and the people around her. Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers! Otome Game Review: Asuka! ~Our Seitou High School Baseball Team~

The Japanese slogan as a mouthful so I just translated it into English. This is Madoka Games’ first release – but don’t be fooled, as Madoka Games is actually Mirai Soft’s all ages brand. I’m glad they are thinking beyond the porn for once but I have to admit it really does show that that’s all they think about. This may have been their first all ages release but it felt like it was released by a company that’s never made an otome game before. Anyway the story is very simple. Our heroine Asuka is the manager of her high school’s baseball team who also works part time in a cafe with her older brother Haruto as well as her younger brother Hikaru. The town folk get together and realize if they don’t somehow make their town stand out, everyone will start to leave and their shopping district and community will fall apart. They ask  Haruto to become the coach and guide the high school baseball team to make it to Koshien. Doesn’t help that one of that star players of the team is moving away as well, so now it’s up to Asuka to convince everyone who quit to come back and kick some baseball ass! This isn’t a problem of course since everyone is her childhood friend 😆 Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Asuka! ~Our Seitou High School Baseball Team~”

Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~After Spring~

Welcome to the never ending chronicles of eyeless…wait! It’s a miracle! Tsukiko has EYES! Thank god, the poor girl was going blind in all 4 games but finally honeybee decided to give her some face surgery. So anyway now I guess would be the time period between when the Spring series ended and the “last” CG of the game when they all got married lol. The game starts in the fall and takes place over about a 2 year period but it goes by really quickly. The first part of the game requires you to do some stupid route with some side characters which then unlocks the “after story” with one of the 3 guys (depending whose name you pick a million times in the first part.) After you finish one of the guys good ends there’s also a mini epilogue. While there are 3 endings for each guy you only need to do 1 of the endings to get all the CGs. The other endings are just extra babbling/scenario by the character and since it’s from his POV it starts to get annoying..FAST. Sigh anyway not gonna be much to write here but enjoy! Otome Game Review: Arcobaleno!

Sorry I couldn’t find the PS2 op on youtube ・・・(=ェ=`;)シーン

So when I first heard about this game I thought it was something relating to Italian Mafia 😆 Turns out its about…Italian cooking! Our heroine Kayano Yuuna enrolls into a culinary university where she then gets to internship at a restaurant called Arcobaleno. The restaurant pasta there reminds me of this delicious pasta that she ate 10 years prior. So basically you spend the entire game raising stats (kinda like Love Revo but less hard core) by doing dishes, cooking, waiting at the restaurant along with all your sexy hot co-worker mans. (*´д`*)ハァハァ Also you need to take cooking exams in this game so yea playing it without a guide is just shooting yourself in the foot \( ^o^)/ Spoilers ahead as usual. Otome Game Review: Bloody Call

What do you get when you mix Jingi Naki Otome with Full Metal Alchemist? You get this otome game 😆 I was honestly surprised at the similarities but it turned out to be an excellent story and being an all ages game, there was no unnecessary rape (*ノ゚Д゚)八(*゚Д゚*)八(゚Д゚*)ノィェーィ! The story is about a gang called “Fly Call” whose boss suddenly dies and he tells his fellow members to get his wife and daughter out of the ghetto town of Glast Heim safely. Unfortunately one day his wife gets abducted by the rival gang “Nede” and his daughter, Futaba (who is the heroine) almost gets abducted as well by some random guys who want to earn money for her capture. Luckily for her she gets saved by two sexy twin bishies Shiro & Reimei, who happen to be from Fly Call and were asked by the boss to protect her before he passed away. They immediately take her to their huge mansion and tell her that while they want to honor their boss’s dying wish, they kinda need a boss and well she’s the closest thing being his daughter and all so they tell her she’s gonna have to suck it up and deal with it. XD (plot sound familiar yet?) Futaba’s only wish is to get her mother back safely and she causes Fly Call a lot of trouble trying to do so. As always spoilers ahead, so skip to my final impressions if you don’t want to be spoiled. Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Bloody Call”
