Otome Game Review: Tokyo Yamanote Boys -Honey Milk-

I told myself after Vitamin X I’d avoid Rejet games like the plague but since this game is short and fairly simple to go through I figured why not! None of the guys really appeal to me but they have a winning cast of seiyuu which then obviously puts it into the seiyuuge- category along with Crappy Magic & Starry Sky. Unlike Starry Sky, the premise of TYB is very simple. It’s a competition where a high school girl chosen as the “princess” must get cozy with some mans and then pick her destined one. When she & that guy are prince & princess then there’s some legend that they’ll live happily ever after. So yes the game concept is quite shallow but there was definitely things I didn’t expect so beware of spoilers ahead lol. Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Tokyo Yamanote Boys -Honey Milk-“

Otome Game Review: Kago no Naka no Alicis

And so after Bloody Call, Icing Candy has released their 2nd game. The artwork is slightly different but the premise is a lot brighter and has a more otome feel to it than the dark feeling of BC. The story here is about a kingdom named Ruche that is directly connected with the Tree of Gemut. A long time ago the gods left the kingdom and the tree began to wilt. One day a girl shed some tears and it helped the tree revive. This girl decided that she would pour all her feelings into this tree to save the kingdom so she was locked up in this cage while she provided life energy for the tree. One day she fell in love with a man and her feelings began to go towards him instead of the tree. The Gemut tree began to wilt once more and so the man she was in love with decided to free her from the cage. Unfortunately upon doing this, the girl immediately died. The man was so heartbroken that his feelings of rage caused darkness to create an evil aura and so he created his own kingdom of Noir. Usually the Ruche kingdom has daylight 24/7 but when Noir strikes it becomes suddenly dark 😆 Because Noir causes damage to the Tree of Gamut, now Ruche is looking for a new “Alicis” who will use their life energy to basically keep the tree going! So much for the “white” kingdom being good eh? So now one day a girl named Sumeragi Runa is abducted from Japan by a loli & shota named L & M who tell her that she has to be the next Alicis. Otome Android Games Part 2

Well since my first post was unsuccessful (need Japanese email bleh) I decided to look for more otome games on the android market and this time I found ones that are actually playable! I downloaded 2 demo games so I guess I’ll just post my impressions and links for you guys to try them out!

First one I tried is イケメン★ホスト学園 春馬編 demo. Basically the story is about a girl (whose name I forgot so I just wrote in hinano 😆 ) who goes to some otome high school while her childhood friend Kanzaki Haruma goes to some ikemen host high school. Anyway the demo was basically him coming to pick you up for school and getting all tsundere and shit 😆 It’s pretty stereotypical but he’s really cute!

The art is really nice and it has save/load/auto-mode in the demo. There’s no voice as usual for a cell phone game but there’s music. The game has 3 different routes for 3 different guys but sadly its $3.74 per guy so it’s definitely recommended you try the demos for each guy before considering purchase. Personally I liked Haruma haha so I would recommend him for sure ;D. You can buy the game here or try the demo here.

Otome Game Review: Vitamin X

Well since Hanayoi was a disaster I heard that VX would be easier so I gave it a shot. I agree that it’s definitely easier but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s time consuming and it took me 2-3 days to do a single guy’s route simply because this game has no common route. The chapters for each character are split up based on character so each one has their own distinctive scenario. Combine that with paying attention to certain text lines and then making your way through 12 exams from 5 different subjects…….:;:;:;:;ガ―{´_`゜|||}─ン;:;:;:; Anyway the story is about Minami Yuri, a new school teacher who is assigned to class X full of idiots & rejects. Her goal is to make one of them graduate, particularly the B6 (baka 6). Problem is the B6 would rather hang out in the clubhouse of their rich bocchama leader Tsubasa than bother even coming to class. Time for Yuri to use her tsukkomi powers to get these idiots back on track! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Vitamin X”

I’m late on the boat here but…Android Otome Games XD

Edit: Turns out you need a freaking Japanese phone email to register for GREE to play this stupid game anyway (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ Screw that. Giving this app a bad review!! They shouldn’t even put it on the android market if you need a specific email to play it on, there’s no point!

I just found out there’s like a company that makes otome games for android lol. I just downloaded this Abunai Koi no Bando one but haven’t tried it yet. Looks like none of them are voiced but the art is (;゚∀゚)=3ハァハァ Their official site is here and the games are free!! I think most of them are for Japanese phones but the one above is definitely for Android as I was able to find it in the android market by searching アブナイ. You need to register a free account at GREE first so I recommend doing that on your web browser before logging in from your phone.
