Official Otome Game Kickstarter for Beastmaster & Prince is live!

dm-sp3

Trying to spread the news as many places as possible, but Gloczus has launched a kickstarter to bring Moujuutsukai to Oujisama (Beastmaster & Prince) to Steam in English! I’ve reviewed both the game and FD on PS2 but they have since added several additional things in both the PSP and Vita ports. All of them will be included on 1 game now and not only that but it’s both the game AND the fandisk all in one! They have various packages that include the Steam code and the goodies such as buttons, clear files, tote backs and pillows with character of choice! The most expensive package is already gone so the stuff is going fast – pledge while you can! Also please be careful to note that not ALL the pledge tiers contain the steam code. Some are JUST the goodies so read carefully before pledging (though I believe you can change before the deadline.) Let’s show them that there are otome fans out there and we are interested in seeing more localized titles. This is finally our chance to do so, so if you want to see this and other games in English, be sure to pledge your support! (`・д・´)キリッ

Edit: Well this kickstarter ended up failing and now the same company is running another KS for some eroge asking for even MORE money. I’m starting to get very suspicious of them and I’m probably not going to support them in any future KS’s they do. It seems very fishy that they can just keep running random Kickstarters and they seem to be asking for more and more money every time. (눈_눈)

Otome Game Review: Ayakashi Gohan ~Okawari!~

Happy new year everyone, unfortunately my first review of the year is off to a not so great start. (;´・ω・) This is the fandisk to Ayakashi Gohan which I finished recently, but unfortunately it was very disappointing and not what I had in mind when I think of “fandisks” in general. The game takes place after the plot resolution (?) in the first game and focuses on Rin’s senior year of high school and her path to going to college and growing up. Guest Review: Amnesia Memories

So since Amnesia was licensed in English by Idea Factory and released on Steam, once it came on sale for like 90% off I finally convinced Kent my husband to buy and play it. And well since we used to blog anime together I figured why not have him review it? Although after reading his thoughts, I think I might have made a grave mistake ಠ_ಠ. If you dare to read his review (aka making fun of the game) please follow after the jump! If the reactions from my readers aren’t too horrifying, then maybe I’ll have him write up a review for the Norn 9 Aksys port that I’m forcing him to play. Also for the most part, it’s non spoiler but it does contain CGs from the game.

Otome Game Review: Believer!

What better way to end a year than with a D3P kusoge amirite!? For some strange reason despite knowing that every D3P game this year had horrid reviews, I decided to give believer a chance. After all it was a straight VN, art looked decent, story seemed legit and it had some nice voice actors – what could POSSIBLY go wrong? Well sadly the one thing that went wrong is the awful writing which basically ruined the rest of the game. But more on that in my final thoughts! Our story starts when Sonozaki Mia’s mother gave her a book when she was little and then both of her parents died. She was adopted by her childhood friend Omi’s family – but then his parents went missing in action! So now Mia lives with Omi and attends school where she has a harem of dudes who just so happen to be her guardians! Turns out Mia harbors some serious magic powers and the book she was given was her personal spell book to defeat the dark lord!! Somehow though, Mia had no idea about any of this until she gets to school and a bunch of angry NPC monsters attack her. After her man harem fights them off, 4 dudes come down calling themselves the Heavenly Four and say that they need her magic book so their Dark Lord can take over the world! *evil laughter* So now Mia has to take on her job as the mage priestess and band with her man harem guardians to save the world from destruction.

Android Otome Game Review: NyanLove ~Watashi no Koi no Mitsukekata~

Shinoda Honoka is a 21 year old who works in a flower shop. One day she runs into a stray black cat in the park and as she fluffs its fur she mumbles that she wishes she could turn into a cat. The cat grants her wish and Honoka becomes a white nuko – but fortunately only at night. The black cat tells her the only way to break the cat curse is to kiss her one true love (ノ´∀`*).
