I had a little bit of free time today so I decided to play a free visual novel called Signed X. You can download it for free and it’s all in English (and also apparently German)! The story is about our heroine Marty, who is a manga fanatic and wants to fall in love like they do in them shoujo mangos. One morning she finds a guy named Matt leaving a bouquet of flowers on her desk with a love confession. Attempting to get his attention and have a shoujo manga encounter, Marty drags her friend Warren into doing all sorts of crazy setup scenarios. Little does Marty realize that her friend just may have a crush on her as well. This review is spoiler free so no worries 😀
Our eligible mans:
Matt – In the IT club and seems completely clueless about the flowers he supposedly gave to Marty. He has a younger 12 year old brother.
Warren – Marty’s friend who constantly is forced to help her act out her shoujo manga fantasies to get Matt’s attention.

Instead of a game summary I’ve made a walkthrough! ヽ(=´▽`=)ノ

Since the game is short I didn’t want to spoil anything but I just want to say that I enjoyed it a lot. The best part for me was the humorous writing and I kept laughing the whole way through . I have to say Marty’s determination is very impressive XD. As far as the dudes go, hands down Warren is the best guy and the obvious OTP. His ending is the best one and I recommend saving it for last. (*´ェ`*)ポッ I really liked the game layout overall and the fact that we could see which endings we had done already. My only complaint is there’s no CG gallery. Ok I realize the CGs are just cute chibis of the characters on photoshopped backgrounds but they were still cute!! I would have loved to go back and look at them again because (*´▽`*)萌え~♪. Anyway the game is not long and since I’ve provided a guide it should make it quick to obtain all the endings. I highly recommend this and maybe I’ll check out the creator’s other game, Summer Found Me.
Oh my…. THANK YOU for introducing us to this game!!! I’ll download and play this like a noob IMMEDIATELY. 😀 😀 Because I LOVED Summer Found Me!!! SFM was written so good and with so much humour, I was like laughing all the time I played the game. wwwwww Thanks for you guide! I think I’ll use it, since I suck at getting different endings in free VN’s. ^^
ah thanks for the recommendation on Summer Found me! I’ve been meaning to play that but then I somehow got buried in all the Japanese otome releases and forgot about it. I’ll be sure to get to it soon!
If you plan on playing it… Save Devlin’s route for last. This guy will totally be YOUR DUDE!!! 8D 8D Because Tsun-Deliquents are smexy. 😀
oh great thanks for the heads up ;D lol
has anyone done a walkthrough for that game yet?
I’m sure there are walkthrough’s scattered around the web, since I was probably using one. xDD I’m not sure anymore, it’s been a while I played it. :’D
Thank you so much for playing and reviewing Signed X and for providing a walkthrough (since I was too lazy to make one myself. haha). Is it ok if I link to it on Signed X’s page?
If you want to play Summer found me, I already have a spoiler free walkthrough on my blog. 😀
Ah great thanks for letting me know now I won’t have to go making my own again xD and yes sure you can link to this 😀
Thanks for the fun game I really enjoyed it!
Oh, this looks pretty interesting! The non-gallery thing is a bit sad, but I guess I’ll stick to the infamous screen cap xDD Also, I find it EXTREMELY amusing that the heroine is called like me, I think I won’t be able to play this “seriously” xD
btw thanks for the walkthrough, you’ve saved me a lot of time! 😉
And sorry for the double-post, but you can find the walkthrough for SFM in the game’s page (yay!, keep saving me time!!)
yea I’m glad I can use a guide since I feel like whenever I play an OELVN there’s never guides for it so I end up circling through it on my own XD
I’m glad I read this review!! I was wondering whether or not to play it at first. But then I saw this and gave it a try: I loved it 🙂
Stalker-san out~
lol glad you found it useful 😛
Oh this game looks good ^-^/ The chibi one is totally kawaii. Thank you so much for making a guide, it’s really help xD
yea if you ever need a quick game in between your big games this is definitely the thing 😀
Thanks for bringing attention to another doujin game! They tend to fly under my radar really easily, since I focus on finding more info about commerical games. Also, thanks for taking the time to post a walkthrough with your review. I’ll be sure to try this one out. =)
ah yea I know that feeling I usually only focus on commercial games as well but I have a stack of doujin games I download once in a while and play when I have free time 😀
I have to say, oh MY GOSH this is awesome. I stumbled upon your blog, and had to give this game a whirl, my first one. I have to say I almost ruined my computer drinking Coke and reading some of the scenes, spitting it out all over the screen laughing.
So glad I found your blog! 😀
haha glad you liked it! I review English games every once in a while so I hope you find them helpful! 🙂
