Otome Game Review: Nil Admirari no Tenbin ~Teito Genwaku Kitan~

The words Nil Admirari mean “to be surprised by nothing” in latin which I guess perfectly the describes the fantasy story & twists that happen in this game. The word tenbin means scales so I’m guessing the title translates vaguely to “the balance of no surprises”. The subtitle refers to the roaring 20s “empire” in Tokyo, that the story takes place in and refers to it as ~gorgeous~ but that’s a coverup for the dirty truth underneath. Kuze Tsugumi’s family has been struggling financially so she’s decided to try to help her family by marrying some rich guy, despite the protests of her clingy otoutokun. Shit gets weird when one night her brother Hitaki mumbles crazy shit and then sets himself on fire. (He doesn’t die just goes into a coma and has a fever at the hospital.) Apparently a book that he read cause him to do this and it’s known from previous incidents according to 2 detectives who come to her house. After this event it seems like Tsugumi sees an aura-like fire on the book when no one else does. They ask her to join their police force unit Fukurou so they can use her powers to help find more of these cursed books(希モノ). They offer her a salary and a place to live and since her engagement appears to be called off, she cuts her long hair off & joins them. Her job is mostly to go around bookstores and check to make sure there’s no cursed books there. And while spending time with the guys at Fukurou, she’s about to learn some things that she was never taught in school ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Otome Game Review: Ayakashi Gohan ~Okawari!~

Happy new year everyone, unfortunately my first review of the year is off to a not so great start. (;´･ω･) This is the fandisk to Ayakashi Gohan which I finished recently, but unfortunately it was very disappointing and not what I had in mind when I think of “fandisks” in general. Otome Game Review: Ayakashi Gohan ~Oomori!~

Akane Rin’s father died when she was little and so her mother became a prostitute to try to make a living to support them. Rin never understood this because she was too young but due to this she had no friends and a lot of kids/parents spread rumors about her. One day her paternal grandma Sumi took her back to her place where she lives in a village called Momiji that is filled with ayakashi. Rin didn’t really like them and after spending a month there she ended up returning back to her house. 10 years later, her mother died probably from being killed by one of her customers but Rin never knew why. She never cried during the funeral and she’s been living on whatever money her mom left while going to school. One of the ayakashi, Gin, who she met when she was little comes to visit her and asks if she wants to come back and live with him and the other Ayakashi at the village she went to in the past. He said that he’s running a restaurant there and she gets free food as well as a place to live. Rin figures she doesn’t wanna deal with any burden of her mother’s leftovers and is running out of money for paying bills…so she decides to leave everything behind and join Gin and other ayakashi at Ponpokorin restaurant.

Otome Game Review: Prince of Stride

Sakurai Nana is a farm girl from Hokkaido who transfers to Hounan high school in order to join the Stride team. She got inspired after seeing some youtube video called “best stride ever.mp4” (which btw on real youtube has nothing to do with this game). After transferring, she finds out the club’s inactive due to loss of members, because of some violence incident. Nana is determined to get the club running, so she helps recruit 2 more members and the 5 man stride team + relay-tioner Nana is complete. A “relay-tioner” role is that of someone who guides the striders during their runs so they can meet up with tag their other team members. The stride relay race takes place in various locations such as cities and even amusement parks, and they basically run parkour style throughout, jumping over various obstacles such as fences, cats, and elderly grandmothers to reach the goal. Aside from being their guide, Nana also gives them magical otome powers in order to GIVE THEM THE COURAGE TO BE THE VERY BEST.

Otome Game Review: Queen of Flowers

Let’s see how many people dismiss this post because I translated Reine des Fleurs from French to English :lol:. Honestly, I cannot take this game seriously. It was very difficult for me to write this review. As I am writing this post after finishing the game I wish I could jump back in time and cancel my preorder. I’m not even gonna bother summarizing the story here because the entire thing is a sham and coverup for the real truth behind the whole game. If you wish to see the truth behind what really happens, read after the jump at your own risk. Warning: Extreme rage and sarcasm ahead. Though honestly, you should just spoil yourself to give yourself a reason to never play this game and just buy the artbook for Kagerou’s pretty artworks….as that is basically this game’s only SAVING GRACE (PUN INTENDED) (；´Д｀) Everyone else feel free to skip to my final ~~rage~~ thoughts.
