Otome Game Review: Kenka Bancho Otome

Nakayama Hinako has lived her entire life at an orphanage, learning combat arts for fun (and self defense.) On her first day of high school, she bumps into her long lost twin brother Hikaru. Of course this is all just as keikaku by Hikaru because as it turns out, the two of them are children of a yakuza family. Hikaru’s father wants him to beat up all the 1st and 2nd year students and become the “bancho” of the school in order to show the pride of the Onigashima family. Unfortunately Hikaru would rather cross dress like a girl, eat ice cream and go shopping. Luckily for him, Hinako can actually kick ass so he blackmails her by pretending to “bump” into her and get hurt. He claims that if she doesn’t crossdress as a boy and go to the Shishiku boys school in his place, he will force her to pay his medical fees. 😂 Hinako doesn’t wanna get the stink eye from the Yakuza and she’s happy she found some form of family so she agrees. She ends up (being forced) to move in to a small apartment with her brother and his manservant Sakaguchi who takes care of the twins meals & transportation (though mostly Hikaru’s.) It doesn’t take long, but Hinako ends up kicking ass of the strongest guys at the school, and gaining a ton of fanboys as she becomes the bancho of Shishiku high. How long will she be able to keep her identity a secret?

Otome Game Review: Queen of Flowers

Let’s see how many people dismiss this post because I translated Reine des Fleurs from French to English . Honestly, I cannot take this game seriously. It was very difficult for me to write this review. As I am writing this post after finishing the game I wish I could jump back in time and cancel my preorder. I’m not even gonna bother summarizing the story here because the entire thing is a sham and coverup for the real truth behind the whole game. If you wish to see the truth behind what really happens, read after the jump at your own risk. Warning: Extreme rage and sarcasm ahead. Though honestly, you should just spoil yourself to give yourself a reason to never play this game and just buy the artbook for Kagerou’s pretty artworks….as that is basically this game’s only SAVING GRACE (PUN INTENDED) (;´Д`) Everyone else feel free to skip to my final rage thoughts. But remember folks, just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean that YOU shouldn’t like it. This is after all just my personal opinion and experience with the game! Otome Game Review: I DOLL U

Amane Aika was told early on to become the best idol there ever was by her parents. Aika was too shy though so her oniichan Manaka said he’ll be an idol for her sake. Fast forward some years later, both of her parents now deceased,  it’s the day of Manaka’s idol debut with the idol group Re;Rise. Aika is getting ready to go see her brother’s performance until she suddenly gets a mystery package from him. Inside she finds his clothes and a wig that looks like his hair with a message that says “don’t ask questions, just go impersonate me” Aika is shocked and decides to go to his band dorm house to check on his whereabouts. When she gets there, she runs into one of the members, Itsuki and he says that if she doesn’t do as her brother says, she’ll ruin his idol career. She decides to put on the disguise and act natural around the other members. Unfortunately for her, her brother Manaka was the only sane one in the whole group. The rest of the group members are a bunch of weirdos and it was their leader Manaka (who they call Aika-kun because that was his stage name) who kept them all together. The manager Yonezawa  finds out the truth from Aika and he begs her to take her brother’s place for a bit until he returns…or else his intestines will explode from the stress. Aika is shy and worried about interacting with her absurd new group but decides she’ll try her best until her brother returns.

Otome Game Review: Brothers Conflict -Brilliant Blue-

After god knows how many years of delays, Otomate finally released Brilliant Blue…however now that I finally got to play it, the delays are a mystery to me when all the common route/stat raising/date system is a copy pasta template of Passion Pink! Literally I just sat there force skipping through almost every “family” scene because it was dejavu from the previous game. Some scenes I sat through simply because it has been such a long time since I played PP that I didn’t actually remember if I saw them or not. Despite the copypasta, the individual brothers were still enjoyable for what it’s worth and while it took me a bit getting used to, eventually the system became pretty easy to go through. With improvements such as saving during choices as well as using quick save/quick load unlike last time, this time it was smooth sailing. Anyway on to Ema’s brocon adventures!
