Cut-In System

What is this, Mortal Kombat? XD
What is this, Mortal Kombat? XD

I think Pangya Japan is getting the cut-in system this week, or possibly next week. Either way 4gamer has posted a movie showing an example of what it looks like. I don’t really get it other than being some kind of visual eye candy when you hit a power shot or get a HIO or whatnot. I guess this also is what they mean when you can design your “own cutins” and then sell them for people to purchase. I’m guessing these cut-ins are permanent just like with the title system which is why the original 4gamer post listed things such as “HIO” to cost 35,000 pang. Obviously the cut-in above was designed by NyaNya, but there’s a lot of really talented Pangya fanartists who can create cut-ins and sell them in the shops. I’m actually looking forward to this – I just hope that the cut-in blanks aren’t going to be cookie items like with self design. I wouldn’t be surprised if that ends up being the case though.

Eastern Valley Trailer Up

Looks like Pangya Japan opened up more stuff on their Eastern Valley teaser site. I see buttons like “GM Guide” and “Event”. I have a feeling something big is coming next Thursday (when I have jury duty *puke*). Check out the movie trailer on the official site it’s pretty sweet. Would be awesome if they could re-release all the old Japanese kimono packages or something to go along with the opening of the new course 😀

Edit: Oh looks like Korea has released a teaser site of their own!

Was Gamepot behind it all along??

I was just looking around the Japanese Pangya site and I stumbled upon their previous contest page. Now I always thought (up until now anyway) that Ntreev Soft was the mastermind behind all the new outfits and stuff like that for Pangya. But when I look at the previous contest page wait a minute…

Arin's magical dress!!

This is in the shop! I thought Korea made this but this was the winner of the Pangya JP 3rd design contest!! 😯 Continue reading “Was Gamepot behind it all along??”

Pangya 5th Anniversary Project: New Course “Eastern Valley”

valley01Well looks like I lost Rich’s naming contest but anyway. 😆 Pangya Japan’s 5th anniversary is November 11th and by then they should be releasing this new course on their server. I’m assuming Korea will be getting this as well but I cannot confirm.

There will be 5 new additions to the game:

1. New Course “EasternValley”
2. Title system (temp name)
3.  Cut In system (temp name)
4. A new recycle system (temp name)
5. Items that allow you to change appearance in the chatrooms (maybe you can look like a caddie!)

I wonder if recycle system means you can recycle old cash shop items you no longer want? Or perhaps recycling gacha rares you don’t want (like uncle daisuke’s wet suit 😆 ) The course is supposed to be beginner friendly so I’m gonna assume it will be a 2 or 3 star. There’s no other info in the press release but I’m sure during the next few months we’ll be hearing more about it. I’m not sure if this is considered “season 5” or not as they didn’t specify it – but I wouldn’t be surprised. This is pretty exciting! 😀

Prius Online hates foreigners =D

Bye bye Prius~
Bye bye Prius~

Looks like the comment someone made on my post a couple days ago was not a lie. Gameon is indeed against foreign players. It appears that multiple English speakers who formed an English speaking guild all got banned.  While there is currently no non-JP IP block (like Pangya), I saw their terms of service and found this:

(禁止事項)
26.本サービスに対して日本国外からの接続行為、及び日本国外からの接続であると疑われる行為。
27.本サービスに対して日本国外からのID取得行為、及び日本国外からのID取得であると疑われる行為。

So basically if you register an ID outside Japan and play this game outside Japan, you are breaking their TOS. It’s only a matter of time before GameOn does what Gamepot did with Pangya and just completely ban foreigners so we’re forced to play on a VPN. Of course playing this game without a VPN is laggy enough, but with a VPN it will be even more unplayable. I’ve been lagged to shit to the point of getting completely kicked off the server, and JP kept getting lag-killed. I have a funny feeling that they must have some kind of IP throttle in place so that JP IPs get top bandwidth while any other IPs get crap.

Because I never spoke in English publicly and never joined any English speaking guilds, (as well as having a JP nickname) I was not banned. However the game has become so laggy and unplayable that after all this new information, this is a good time for me to quit playing. While this game was enjoyable, and I do not regret trying it out, all good things have to come to an end.

Not sure what I’ll be doing now, Pangya? 😆
