Otome Game Review: Little Aid (PS2 Version)

This isn’t a complete review since I only played the routes that weren’t in the PC version. Please read my PC review first before reading this, thanks! So since the original PC version they’ve added blinking eyes on the characters, made Kyoko look less like a man and added extra scenes for Sawato & Chizuru. Otome Game Review: Panic Palette

The story is about Itou Aki who lives alone in an apartment and starts her first year in high school. The story takes place in the same school & town as Little Aid so the game reused a lot of the backgrounds and some of the sub characters from there are also back (i.e. Sawato..) One evening while Aki is taking a stroll on the beach she runs into some guy wearing arabian clothes and he claims that she will be his wife because of a mark on her hand. Turns out this guy is an alien prince from another planet. She’s all like ‘Uh no’ so his eyeball sidekick explains to her that if she wants to remove that mark, she needs to collect some color auras from people (i.e. anger, happiness, fear etc.) So now it’s up to Aki (and us) to collect all the colors and use the coffee machine Mariko 2002 to create the special potion to remove the mark. Additionally her pest problem is taken care of by none other than the ORIGINAL Tokunami Touya nuko (who I guess the guy’s soul took over in Kaeru Batake xD!) Otome Game Review: Moujuutsukai to Oujisama ~Snow Bride~

So here’s the fandisk to Beastmaster & Prince :D. Unlike the last fandisk I played fortunately this is full of fanservice for the fans of the game and thankfully nobody important actually dies ( ´_ゝ`). The disk contains 3 sections for each character. The first is another story where Tiana picks who she will go to the ball at Kurt’s castle with. The after story, which is the main dish of the game that continues after the first game’s ending for each guy (but before the epilogues). Then there are bonus omakes for each character called “diaries” where you get to see cute scenes that happened “during the last game” and you also get to pet (and now tickle) your favorite furry friends. 😆 The extras section includes a side story but unfortunately no 4komas this time around. Anyway on to our bishies! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Moujuutsukai to Oujisama ~Snow Bride~”

Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta XXX

So the XXX stands for kiss kiss kiss rather than porn…I don’t think they thought about their naming idea all the way through 😆 So anyway fandisk time! There are some positives over the last game. The CG quality has improved (slightly) and the choices are no longer timed. The cutouts in the dialogue box match the standing ones in the middle now too. Unfortunately there’s only about 24 CGs total and they completely removed the heroine’s voice. Bummer. That means I can’t go multi tasking or I miss half the dialogue ┐(‘~`;)┌ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta XXX”

Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta

I didn’t realize this game got 1 star ratings on Amazon Japan until I was almost done with the first route….and I could definitely agree with everything that was said. But you know me and my thing for playing terrible otome games so I plowed through it anyway! 😆  The story is about a girl named Rumina who is the princess of the Saint Foria space colony (pardon the spelling I’m sure I butchered all these Katakana names.) This colony is located in an enclosed space. Rumina is pretty ignorant being a princess and all and has no idea that the people of her kingdom are suffering – until she runs out of the castle one day to see what the common folk are doing. She then gets to travel the universe and even meet the King of Gaia (aka earth) where she learns that people should not be treated as slaves and actually PAID for their work! (something our current US economy could learn but anyway *cough). So yea since she’s a princess and all, she’s gotta marry some rich dude so the kingdoms can merge and we avoid international intrigue over war and wealth!
