Otome Game Review: Bustafellows
Continuing the trend of “games that take place in America” this time instead of fake LA, Extend brings us my ultimate favorite of FAKE NYC! 😂 Our story involves a newspaper column writer Teuta, who is trying to make it big as a news reporter. She chases down an infamous defense lawyer named Limbo Fitzgerald to try to to get an interview with him but instead he drops dead in front of her eyes after being stabbed by a hitman. Teuta then uses her magical powers of being able to jump back to the past into a random person’s body and warns Limbo of his fate thereby saving his life. After she returns to her present body she meets up with him and his partner Shu at the local hipster cafe and they have trouble believing her not ruling out that she may be tricking them or be in cahoots with the criminals. They strike a deal that until they figure out whodunnit, she has to hang out with them, and in return, Limbo promises to be her housing lawyer to help her break her lease and move out. 😂 Please note there ARE SPOILERS below the jump so if you plan to play just scroll down to my final thoughts!
Otome Game Review: Fantasy Cafe Enchante
Awaki Kotone decides to take over her late grandpa’s cafe Enchante and instead finds herself surrounded by non-human ikemans from another world who were regulars when grandpa was the master. She had quit her job because it was insanely stressful and mentally abusive. The cafe basically serves only the non human guys and because it has a magic barrier around it that makes normal humans not notice its location. Some of them also live there and pay rent in rare items from beyond this world worth thousands of yen.
The Top 10 Best Otome Game Systems I’ve Ever Played
Was thinking about the decade of otome games and realized I had written a post about the worst game systems I’ve sat through. Unfortunately I had not then written the complimentary BEST systems one so here we are! Generally my stance on systems is “if I can press auto-mode and read it like a book that’s all I need” but once in a while it’s nice to get something besides ye olde audio visual book and have some kind of fun interaction. Unfortunately most games turn into a grueling exercise with their systems but these 10 actually made me enjoy the game even more!
