Otome Game Review: Princess Nightmare

I was really sad that I couldn’t play Danzai no Maria since Karin’s old games hate Windows 7 it seems…but since PN had a PS2 port I was able to play it (`ゝω・)vィェィ The story is about our heroine Little Draculair, a 114 year old vampire, who moves from Transylvania to Japan with her “father” Vlad Draculair and “brother” Radu Draculair. While her brother doesn’t want her going out to suck the blood of humans, she often sneaks out using her cat youkai as a decoy. Her father finds out but he lets her change into human form and attend a middle school for 2 years so she gets to experience a human school life. Fortunately unlike our typical otome heroines, Little has balls of steel and it’s her way or the highway (*’∀’*)ウフフフ♪ Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Princess Nightmare”

Otome Game Review: Trouble Fortune Company Happy☆Cure

This is another one of those games where the seiyuu cast is amazing and everything else is balls. The story is about our heroine Tsuzuri whose mother is a fortune teller. One day her mom Sakura goes missing in action, leaving Tsuzuri and her brother Amane, saying she’s gone to look for their father. She leaves without saying where she’s going and how long she’ll be gone and now all of her fortune telling customers demand to see her. It’s up to Tsuzuri to train (aka for you to raise stats) so that she can become a super fortune teller and snag that man. Quality over 9000 ahead! Otome Game Review: Happy☆Magic!

I don’t think Pony Canyon should ever make Otome Games but they did and I was unfortunate enough to play it. Actually I didn’t really do any background research on this (like I never do honestly) but it feels to me like they just got a bunch of famous seiyuus just to do some drama CDs and then made the otome game as a side thing? Kinda like with Starry Sky. Of course unlike with this game, HoneyBee actually had a decent artist and programmer do the game. Anyway the story is very simple. Your teacher tells you to snag a man before Christmas or something and then you will get a special “jewel” depending on which man you snag. So now with your annoying tsukkomi cat Nyaa (voiced appropriately by ishida akira) our heroine Temari, who is also studying to be a witch, is ready to catch some pokemans bishies! Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Zuisouroku~

This is the Hakuoki fandisk. Basically it gives you the opportunity to see some “extra scenes” inserted into some parts of the previous game. You also get extra CGs with your man of choice. Additionally you get a chance to get with guys you couldn’t get with in the original game XD. Each route was fairly short and as a completion reward you’d get a deredere letter from the guy to you telling about how much he loves you etc XD Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Zuisouroku~”

Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~

So after being incredibly late on the bandwagon, I decided to play Hakuoki (PS2 version). I saw the first season of the anime which helped me understand a bit of what’s going on but I can safely say the game is much better. For one thing, all the guys acknowledge Chizuru as a girl right off the bat so there’s no “gay intonation” crap that the anime pulled out of its ass ( ´_ゝ`). Seriously DEEN this isn’t a BL game why act like its a BL anime? Anyway the story is basically about the rise & fall of the Shinsengumi so without even having to spoil you guys…EVERYBODY DIES \( ^o^)/  Additionally I’d like to call this game ROID RAGE. I mean let’s face it, they all take this “Steroid water” which gives them incredible strength but then destroys their bodies and makes them go insane. It fits perfectly! 😆 With that in mind, more stuff after the jump! Continue reading “Otome Game Review: Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~”
