Well well well, you know what time it is! It’s time for the Steam Halloween sale, and that means time to get some more otome games on sale! I’m guessing that since it was Halloween and all, they put 7’sCarlet on sale since it’s 3 spoopy 5 U, so I snatched it up and once and a while played it (frequently interrupting my playthrough of course to make snide backseat commentary on the Twitch streams of the REAL games for REAL gamers, of course.)

Otome Game Review: Heiligenstadt Lied
Lied, an orphan whose parents supposedly died in an accident, has recently began to live on her own (with her cockatiel ojisan BFF Soprano who can talk due to all the magic of her town of Shall). She is also a pianist for her former orphanage but she’s not really that good. Actually she really sucks at both playing piano and cooking lol. One day she meets a bunch of dudes who happen to have the magical “Falga” powers of famous classical pianists. An evil force called the Forgotten Apostle comes and tries to steal all the sound from the town because of the “evil noise” that’s coming from the darkness inside the performers. Most average people are affected but Lied is safe – so now she joins the musical academy to work with everyone to help restore music back to Shall and defeat the Forgotten Apostle. Otome Game Review: Psychic Emotion 6 (Mu)
A bunch of dudes on a space ship head to earth to pick up their “Princess Kaguya”. Tsukishima Hikari, is your avg high school girl who’s had weird things happen to her all her life. Her only allies have been her parents who are working overseas, her grandma and her childhood friend Kirara. Hikari moved to her grandmother’s pension and Kirara worried transferred to the same high school. One night they run into a spaceship that crashes in the mountains near her house. Out of it come out a bunch of space princes from various planets, who claim that Hikari is their princess who they came to earth for. 😂 They tell her she’s gotta pick one of them to be her future husband to save the galaxy! Also because their space ship broke, they decide to crash at the pension which conveniently has enough rooms for all of them. They are also joined by a random freeloader and classmate named Kurosaki Tsukasa.

Otome Game Review: 7’sCarlet
Hanamaki Ichiko attends university with her childhood friend Hino who joined a “Okunezato Occult Club”. The club leader posts on a forum for everyone to have an offline meetup at the Okunezato and Hino invites Ichiko to come with him to check it out. Ichiko’s older brother Hanate disappeared a year ago after going to the village so she decides to come along in hopes to find clues on his whereabouts. Little does Ichiko know that this isn’t her first trip to Okunezato as well as the dangers and mysteries surrounding the small mountain town. Once she and Hino arrive at the Furinkan inn, they meet up with the rest of the members. After Ichiko takes a part time job at the inn during her stay, she starts to recall memories of her childhood. Major spoilers ahead so please skip to my final thoughts to avoid as usual.
