It’s funny for the last few days I’ve been dressing up my poop in yukatas (and one of the days even earned me 64 sutekis somehow @@;) and today Katherine whips out the yukata event! Fortunately most of the items like cotton candy, icees etc are all stuff I got from events the previous years…therefore all I bought this year was a new yukata, obi and geta. In the picture I’m actually wearing last year’s items so I think if you wear this year’s items stuff in the background will probably change. The selection this year isn’t that great actually so don’t feel like you need to blow all your ribbons!

Tartaros might actually be released in English…
On my google search today I stumbled upon an article that said
It is said that the game will be brought in the global market in 2010.
Taking this lightly I’m like lol what are the chances. So I decided to google up Wemade Korean site and instead I stumbled upon this:

Omg! I didn’t know there was a Wemade USA e_e Apparently they’re the company that picked up that Digimon MMO. Says they were established in May 2008 (which is about when Tartaros KR came out). Their official company profile states:
Our parent company, WeMade Entertainment Co., Ltd., was established in 2000 and is poised to release several new MMOGs in Asia in 2009 including Tartaros and Avalon. With over 500 employees in Seoul bringing you great games, we have a strong track record of success in the East that we’re extending to the rest of the world.
I guess the release of an English Tartaros isn’t so unlikely anymore but I really don’t want to start over after putting $300 into the game. I don’t care about Korean or English voice actors. I literally only play Cromodo because of my obsession with Namikawa Daisuke. I’m tempted to contact them and ask them if they plan to release Tartaros but I also don’t think I want to know. English Tartaros means that it will be filled with idiots, who then may start to invade Japan Tartaros for better updates, Japan bans us all – Pangya all over again sigh.
On the other hand, English Prius online is nowhere to be found (the english branch of the Korean company is like dead) so I guess just because there’s an English subsidiary doesn’t mean they will pick up all the Korean games. Sorry not really looking forward to it. I try to avoid English community MMOs like the plague because unlike the Japanese, most Americans (and Brazillians) can’t behave themselves in online games.
P.S. It looks like the next country to release Tartaros will actually be Thailand.
How to achieve perfect dodge.
I just read on a Japanese blog that perfect dodge in Tartaros is achieved at 70. Currently my Ruko is at 50. I’ve come up with a sure fire way to get 70 – unfortunately it’s costly and something I’m not going to do on a game with a lack of a foreseeable future.
So Ruko starts with 26 dodge by default.
+4 = Level 28 tops often have 4 dodge in them.
+4 = Level 28 pants often have 4 dodeg in them too.
+6 = Cash umbrella, 600yen a month(About $6.85)
+8 = Pirate set. The hat & eyepatch are 600yen/month each (bagpack is permanent). That makes it $13.70/month.
+5 = Tail belt from the recent lottery boxes (I have one.) It’s permanent fortunately =_=;
+17 = 1 level 5 dodge stone, 2 level 6 dodge stones (yea good luck getting/making those…)
——–
Total Dodge = 70
Total Monthly Cost = $20.55
Wut. 😐
No thanks lol. Getting the level 6 dodge stones alone is a pain in the ass as it is but paying that much a month? LOL plz.
Tartaros ramblings
Sorry I just gotta rant something out about the game lately… Continue reading “Tartaros ramblings”
RO2 Is back with a vengence!
So basically when we had all assumed that RO2 was dead (or as the wiki said – in development hell), Gravity decided to completely scrap the project and start over. The new game will be called “Legend of the Second” instead of “Gate of World” and it will be what RO2 was supposed to be in the first place: a 3D version of RO1.
The characters will no longer be chibi cute but I guess more mature-ish looking? I don’t know how I feel about that. I actually quite liked the style of the cast of the original RO2 (see my screenshot album) so I guess I’d have to see the 3D version before making a decision! Hopefully some trailers and stuff will popup after the closet beta commences on August 31st.
Rather than remaking all the characters and monsters (except what…porings?) RO2 will now just 3D-efy everything! Awesome, count me in – well whenever a Japanese or English version comes out. I’m going to be passing on the Korean beta (even though they claimed you could use your old RO2 beta account) since I can’t read a word of hangul anyway.
