Otome Game Review: Hoshiiro no Okurimono

Our heroine Yoshimoto Ai recalls meeting a random guy during tanabata while watching the stars on a hill at her inaka. When her school year starts up once more in September, the guy she met, Inafuna Takashi, transfers into her class. He apparently wanted to get the best view of the starry sky, and so he moved in with his uncle, the village chief, to the middle of bumblefuck. As she goes to watch the stars with Takashi again, she realizes that it would be a great idea if all of them could go watch them together. She then decides to form an astronomy club with her classmates (also her childhood friends) for some last memories, because the school is getting torn down the following year.

Otome Game Review: Sora*Yume

The story is about Mizunaga Satsuki whose parents run some antique item store. One day she finds a ring in the storage room and it turns into some caped dude with a sword through his chest. She pulls the sword out and then he tells her the reason he’s not bleeding is because he’s a demon. She hears this and passes out and hears various ikemans proposing their love to her. She wakes up thinking it was all a dream until she wakes up to the demon-man right in her face. Turns out she’s released the seal of the ring and now he’s looking for the Heliotrope ring and asks Satsuki to help him find & destroy it. The reason is because anyone who puts the ring on will get their wishes granted, but at the expense that the ring will devour their blood until it merges with their body & turns them into a hateful blood sucking vampire. As Satsuki searches for the ring with the help of her tsukaima, she starts to discover many things about herself and the people around her. Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers! Otome Game Review: Little Aid (PS2 Version)

This isn’t a complete review since I only played the routes that weren’t in the PC version. Please read my PC review first before reading this, thanks! So since the original PC version they’ve added blinking eyes on the characters, made Kyoko look less like a man and added extra scenes for Sawato & Chizuru. Otome Game Review: Panic Palette

The story is about Itou Aki who lives alone in an apartment and starts her first year in high school. The story takes place in the same school & town as Little Aid so the game reused a lot of the backgrounds and some of the sub characters from there are also back (i.e. Sawato..) One evening while Aki is taking a stroll on the beach she runs into some guy wearing arabian clothes and he claims that she will be his wife because of a mark on her hand. Turns out this guy is an alien prince from another planet. She’s all like ‘Uh no’ so his eyeball sidekick explains to her that if she wants to remove that mark, she needs to collect some color auras from people (i.e. anger, happiness, fear etc.) So now it’s up to Aki (and us) to collect all the colors and use the coffee machine Mariko 2002 to create the special potion to remove the mark. Additionally her pest problem is taken care of by none other than the ORIGINAL Tokunami Touya nuko (who I guess the guy’s soul took over in Kaeru Batake xD!) Otome Game Review: Kaeru Batake de Tsukamaete ・ Natsu Chigira Sansen!

So here we have the fandisk for Kaerubatake! I don’t know if Takuyo got fan input or what but the design of this was so much better in every way! For example you get to run through the after story and another story just like a VN without having to torture yourself with mini games. If you want bonus omakes like an extra illustration or some bonus voices then you gotta beat the characters in poker and black jack. (Both games I suck at so good thing I have my husband to tell me what to do! 😆 ) The point is, it was very enjoyable. The artist leveled up and the CGs were of much better quality than before (especially the profile pics.) There were also nice bonuses like detailed interviews with the characters such as what they like, dislike, etc. Additionally! If you left Fuu’s name default, the characters all said her name! Hallelujah! This way we’re not always hearing “anta” or “omae” 😆 While I had beef with the first game, I cannot say enough great things about how much I enjoyed the fandisk.
