Poupee Jewel System

poupee Looks like Poupee Girl has finally taken the path of “free 2 play” MMORPG games that make me rage with the firey passion of 1000 suns. At an unknown date in the future, Poupee Girl will be implementing the “jewel system.” The jewel system is basically “cash only” currency. Ribbons will still be used, and you will still be able to obtain them for free, however I have no doubt in my mind that cute and limited items will now all be in jewel currency. Jewel currency is basically currency you can ONLY buy with cash – and not obtain it any other way. The problem is, most games that have turned to the “free 2 play, pay to get good items” in America have turned into crap. I dunno maybe it works for Japan since they are more vain than us, but I can see a lot of foreign customers being turned off by this move.

Kath also stated that rules regarding ribbon earning will be changed. Maybe she will be more strict regarding what you can upload. Maybe uploading items will only give you 1-2 ribbons instead of like 10-17 like now. All I know is, now is a really good time to upload all your items before this change takes place. Once it does, I have a feeling things will get difficult. If it gets too terrible and all the cute items really do end up being jewel currency only…I may be quitting Poupee Girl =/ I’ve never once paid for ribbons because to me it’s still a cute flash game. Those who want to buy ribbons so they can collect more outfits can do so, but I just enjoy the site by commenting and uploading my clothing. If the incentive to get ribbons is lost, the incentive to upload items and comment will be lost too…therefore killing any interest I have left in the site.

Sigh, I guess all good things eventually come to an end. 😐

Poupee My Home Renewal

Erm so looks like the new MyHome is here! This is gonna take some time to get used to but I don’t think it’s too bad. I like how there’s a shell count so I don’t have to keep going into my closet to see how many shells I have. Also it’s nice that your public profile is now “shown” to users who want to know you better. I hardly ever looked at anyone’s profiles before XD There’s a nice new “PICK UP” feature which is the Japanese for “your favorite” clothing. I basically picked my most recent stuff cause let’s face it, new stuff is cool xD; Anyway a lot of people are complaining but I think it’s quite refreshing! I can’t wait to go dressing up tomorrow~^_^

Poupee Kitchen!

poopkitchen And so the latest Poupee Girl event is kitchen items! There’s a mass of aprons, forks, ladles and whisks for you to waste your ribbons on. I decided to be a cheapass and since I already had a dress with an apron on it (from Happy Bath Day), I only bought some accessories to go with it. I’m still waiting until we get some new yukatas…come on Kath you know you want to lol.

Also on June 22nd we’re getting our “my home” remodeled. It’s really a big change and it’ll take some time to get used to but I think it’ll be okay 😉

Poupee Event: Honeymoon in Hawaii

Yes I happen to have a neck cramp right now ;-;

It’s that time of year for Katherine to release swimwear. She’s calling this the “honeymoon” event to follow the June Bride event. I dunno for my honeymoon I went to Disneyworld and I never once wore my swimsuit lol (but mostly cause it rained on a daily basis.) Lots of swimwear and hawaiian dresses in the shop, most of which are hideous so thankfully you won’t have to blow all your ribbons. I only purchased the bikini above along with the flower sandals. I still have 2 swimsuits from last year so I doubt I’ll be purchasing anything else from this event. Now’s a good time to save ribbons anyway for the new summer yukatas 😛

Poupee Girl: June Bride Event is here!!

Okay I’ve waited for this event like the ENTIRE month and it’s finally here! (o^∇^o)ﾉ As always Katherine has a ton of dresses in the shop, although for some reason there’s only 2 white ones, while the rest are all sorts of bizarre colors you’d probably never see the bride wearing lol. I was so short on ribbons I resorted to comment spamming just to get enough for all the accessories >_<; Other events include a June Bride contest where the winner gets some heart balloons. Also there’s discounts on the Poupee beauty clinic (waste of ribbons in my opinion) as well as discount on changing your hair style. There’s a couple cute new hair styles in the shop and there’s one I just love and I really want to get xD! Must comment more daily (ﾉ´▽｀;)
