Sorry Persona 3, but Persona 5 had the best soundtrack of all time.

All dancing games in a nutshell
I kinda forgot I had started this game a few months ago so we decided we’d finish it up before diving into Persona 3 reload that came out a year ago 🤣. Honestly there’s not much to say here other than it’s basically identical to the Persona 5 music game. It’s almost like a complete reskin and nothing like Persona 4 with the story bit and all. So really you can check out our Persona 5 dancing review for the details. That said the biggest disappointment is I personally just don’t really like the Persona 3 soundtrack. Not only that but a some of the songs I did like weren’t even in this game. I honestly ended up playing a DLC song that included Theo (Way of Life) and Dance! (The Persona 4 Dancing Game Opening) as well as a few of the Persona 5 songs more than anything else. Unfortunately in order to unlock skits I had to put different costumes and accessories on people which forced me to slog through a bunch of tryhard Japanese rap songs from year 2007. 💀
Artists, take note 😙Yeah honestly there isn’t too much to say about this one. For starters, you’re probably getting it in a bundle with the other Persona dancing games, so it’s going to be essentially the same thing as the Persona 5 dancing (and of course, NOT like Persona 4 dancing which is basically a visual novel.) The other important thing to note is that similar to how the P5 dancing game was base P5, this is base P3 which most importantly means it’s not based on P3P!!!!!!!! There was the one DLC for Way of Life but that’s it. They didn’t even include Wiping All Night as an optional DLC!!!!!Nobody cares about you Stupei, Ace Defective
I also couldn’t care less about watching skits for Junpei or Ken because I just don’t like them as characters. 😔That said I couldn’t decide who I’m gonna ship Makoto with when I start P3R and this game helped me solidify that I wanna go with Yukari for my run through. I like Mitsuru too but I feel like she’s like Arcueid – a strong woman who don’t need no man. 😤 I’m also really glad once again the game had so many helper modifiers because without the auto-scratch I wouldn’t have cleared a lot of NORMAL songs, let alone Hard or All Night versions.
Can’t wait to ship Makoto and Yukari in P3RAs is the case for P3 in general, the cast of P3 is Fine, I Guess so again that is coloring our fairly muted review here. Along with actually liking the soundtrack being a prereq for enjoying the game because of all the dancing that you’re going to be doing, actually liking the characters is also a prereq for liking the game because of all the skits with them. Most of them are fine (I mean other than The Shota and Stupei, Ace Defective) but are mostly a little less fun versions of the same archetypes that Atlus uses in all of the Persona games, so again yeah another reason why we don’t care as much about P3 as we do about P4 and P5.Stop bullying poor Theo
Overall just like with the other Persona dancing games, if you’re a fan of the music and you enjoy music games in general, it’s definitely a decent game to play. My personal recommendation is do what I did and buy the triple collection on sale – which is what I had initially done – so you can play other game’s songs as an add-on in each game. Otherwise if you’re trying to skimp on money, only buy the game whose music you like because not liking a lot of the songs you play can really hinder the experience.
Even a 10 year old gets more action than you Junpei m9^д^)m9^д^)m9^д^)ジェットストリームプギャーBasically, if you think hearing BABYBABYBABYBABY (in dubstep) over and over again while you unlock the trophies is fun rather than torture, the game will be fun. Otherwise, it’s “that other game that you get in the bundle with the other two better games.”
