Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho
Our nameless heroine (who once again I’ve defaulted to Mary Sue) finds herself in a predicament: she cannot properly fall in love! All her friends have boyfriends and she’s the only one left who is single. No matter what guys try hitting on her, she responds like a log and she feels like she’s just not meant for romance. Her friends tell her there’s a legend that if you go up to the highest part of the school building (aka the rooftop) and throw off a yellow handkerchief, Renai Bancho will come and solve all your romantic problems. Mary’s an insatiable ho, so she throws a rainbow handkerchief off and instead of 1, she gets 6 banchos + one in training, Yasu to help her get her love life back on track.
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-Sama♪ -Sweet Serenade-
Well again same as the previous fandisk but this time the routes are for the Class S guys + Ringo & Ryuuya sensei. Class A guys are starring in a movie so they’re too busy to hang out with you until Ringo’s route.
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-Sama♪ -Amazing Aria-
This is the first UtaPri fandisk that came out featuring Class A + Cecil (and one more who I won’t spoil in the intro paragraph x3.) While Class S is busy doing recording for a new drama, Haruka gets to have fun with the class A dudes overcoming whatever random drama comes their way. Not going to be too much here as each route was only 4 chapters but more after the jump!
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-sama♪ REPEAT
So a few years ago Broccoli released a game called Uta no Prince Sama. However not realizing how popular it would get, they didn’t give a damn about the artwork and released it with graphics that were half finished with backgrounds that looked like a tyedye T-shirt from 1960. So then after they released 2 fandisks where the art was a million times better and suddenly felt horrible about the crap that was the original UtaPri game. With that in mind, they decided to re-release UtaPri adding REPEAT at the end with completely redrawn character sprites and CGs, as well as adding some bonus omake extra stories. And so Uta no Prince Sama REPEAT was born. Our story takes place in Saotome Gakuen where students go to become either idol singers or song writers. Our heroine, Nanami Haruka has enrolled to become an idol song writer, and lucky for her, she gets to be paired with one of 6 hot men to make her dreams come true. Sadly, the school principal Shining Saotome has made a drastic rule that you are not allowed to fall in love.
Otome Game Review: Love Drops (PS2)
So for old time’s sake I decided to replay my first otome game, Love Drops for the PS2. Obviously this means taking out all the pr0n, adding new scenes and there’s actually a new character. This will be mostly a comparison post rather than a full summary. For the original game summary please see my PC game post.
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince Sama♪ MUSIC
So since I was playing love drops on the PS2, I decided to occupy my commute to work by playing another rhythm game. I figured since I just played Project Diva, I’d be pro at UtaPri music right? WRONG.
Otome Game Review: Tokyo Yamanote Boys -Dark Cherry-
And so we’ve reached the final TYB disk, Dark Cherry. This time our man lineup features Jesus, Shinnosuke & Tetsu, which in my eyes are the best guys of TYB xD. As usual Chihiro goes on dates with them and then picks her man and like with Honey Milk, they bring back the Virus/Vaccine plot which is concluded in this disk. Jump to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers as usual!
Otome Game Review: Tokyo Yamanote Boys -Super Mint-
So now that we’re done with the cotton candy aliens from Honey Milk, it’s time for Long Torso, Trap & Non-Rapist Yusa in Super Mint! The virus plot appears to remain the same…until Jesus comes along and kills the vaccine! Boom suddenly the vaccine plot is gone and Super Mint is now left to create a West Side story plotline to keep us entertained so that we don’t think this game is THAT shallow. Sadly, this doesn’t work, so I hope you like our choice of mans this time around or you’ll be bored to tears like I was. Read the rest of this entry
