Otome Game Review: Vitamin X Detective B6

This time the story puts our Vitamin X cast into an alternate universe where Minami Yuri is the Chief of her detective agency and the B6 are her employees! They get people asking them to solve cases such as finding a cat or seeing if someone’s husband is cheating on his wife. The T6 have taken random jobs around town (such as bartender or barber) but they do help out with various cases along the way. Ultimately it all boils down to a pair of art thieves and something fishy going on with the Mayor in town.

Otome Game Review: Hakuoki Yuugiroku

Whew 2 reviews in 1 day! So while I was busy with TYB on my PC, I needed something to occupy my commute and since the US release of Hakuoki is upon us, I decided to play Hakuoki Yuugiroku. The story is one day Hijikata and Chizuru overhear Itou saying he lost something and so when they split up to look for it, Chizuru is lucky enough to find it. However when she opens up the mystery box, suddenly everyone goes into chibi mode and now Chizuru (and your dude of choice) have to figure out a way to return back to normal. The challenge is, you must successfully pass a bunch of mini games to get to the bottom of things!

Otome Game Review: Tokyo Yamanote Boys -SWEET JELLY BEANS-

This is the “introduction” fandisk to the 3 TYB fandisks coming this year. The guys are split up into 3 teams: Fresh Ginger, Pure Raspberry and Black Vanilla. This time the first 3 days all 9 of them go on a date with Chihiro and then based on which “team” she choses, she gets to do the activities with the 3 guys from that team. In the end she can pick 1 guy from the winning team. Additionally this disk adds a complete route for our favorite Mr. Vaccine, Kyohei.

Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho 2 -Midnight Lesson!!!-

So following the first game, we now have a different heroine (who I’ve named Hiro In because Mary Sue was last game  ) that’s got love problems. Her friends tell her about the renai banchos but she’s already well aware of it because she’s heard of the “Legendary Angel!” aka the first game’s Mary Sue. One day a flying chibi girl named Katherine gives Hiro a rainbow handkerchief saying to throw it up near a tree in the courtyard, rather than off the school rooftop like before. As she walks around confused a bunch of random guys, who she thinks are transfer students, ask her about the handkerchief but she lies saying she doesn’t have it. When she gets home she runs into Koakuma Bancho who tells her to stop lying and that throwing the handkerchief during a full moon will make something good happen to her. She goes back to the school courtyard at night and throws the handkerchief and immediately gets 8 hot men at her service. As like with Mary Sue, Hiro can now pick one of them to be her boyfriend for a year to teach her the ways of love.

Otome Game Review: Kannou Mukashibanashi Portable

So apparently this game is based on a set of drama CDs whose prominent feature is the dummy head mic. The dummy head mic makes it feel like the voice of the person is whispering in your ear so needless to say this being my first experience, I WAS REALLY FREAKED OUT (((( ;゚д゚))))アワワワワ.  Our heroine, Himeko, has some hot butler man bed intrude into her room telling her he’ll read her some bedtime stories. The best part of course is that she can experience these stories by being the heroine in each one! It sounds too good to be true, and well it is because these aren’t your Cinderella fairy tales. These are mostly horror stories where Prince Charming is responsible for ending the heroine’s life  . This time however, each story gives us multiple outcomes and “what if” scenarios, allowing the reader to experience a variety plot twists.
