Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-sama -All Star-
So I ran a backlog poll on my blog a few weeks ago and All Star was the top choice so while waiting for my Amnesia Crowd to arrive I figured it would be a good way to kill a week. Surprisingly the game took longer than a week but ultimately – I REGRET NOTHING. Those who read my Debut review may remember my SCATHING words towards UtaPri and Broccoli and the many tables that were flipped during broadcast. Fortunately, Broccoli listened to their reviews on Amazon, kicked out all the fanfic writers and had Mr. Crazy Goat handle the storyline this time around. With this, the game went back to being a fun game about a hard working music composer and the idols she composes songs for. Our story this time is Haruka has no partner and she ended up graduating all on her own efforts (fuck yea screw those men Haruka you don’t need them!) She wasn’t able to take the master course cause all the guys were busy BLing up with each other and leaving her forever alone. Haruka’s new job is to compose a song for the Christmas concert featuring the special shuffle unit with the 4 senpais: Reiji, Ranmaru, Ai and Camus. In addition, after this she must partner up with one of them and compose a song to enter into the music festival competition. If she does not win the competition she will not be able to debut and will be kicked out of the agency.
Otome Game Review: Desert Kingdom Portable
Aspasia is a daughter of a powerful genie god in the country of EVUU. Unfortunately her mother was a human and due to this Aspasia’s magic powers are half assed. Since she doesn’t know this until later, she abuses them and then pretty much loses them by the time she’s 15. Her hipster dad Shazam tells her go down to earth and mingle with the humans, granting some wishes to learn what being a genie is all about. She bitches that her dad has enough magic to just give some to her but he tells her to STFU and kicks her out, literally. Since she has no magic powers, he sends a genie spirit in a lamp named Unbala Bopper along with her to protect her on her journey. After 2 months of wandering in the desert, Aspasia finally reaches a kingdom where she has 5 hot dudes waiting for her to grant their wishes. Read the rest of this entry
Otome Game Review: Hyakki Yakou ~Kaidan Romance~
And so this is the next game in Quin Rose’s Kaidan Romance series. The game is pretty much similar to Oumagatoki in setting but takes place at a school a few miles away with a different cast. This time our heroine is Tatsuta Ui who is the daughter and heir of a very powerful dragon youkai family. Unfortunately her parents wanted a male heir so now to them she’s just a baby maker until they find an appropriate suitor. Due to this Ui’s been pressured to act like the “proper daughter” being miss perfect, getting good grades and acting like a “princess”. Her parents married for political reasons and most of the time her father ignores her existence so she wasn’t exactly raised with a loving family. This has caused her to basically develop a fake personality but deep down inside she just wants to be a badass. On top of this, she broke a rule by taking a human and turning him into a zombie. For this she has received punishment which causes her to to suffer fevers, on top of the fact that she can’t control her strong fire ability. Read the rest of this entry
Terashima Takuma in Ijime Connect
Since Terashima Takuma is in quite a few otome games I thought this piece of news would be worth mentioning. Apparently the staff of Kokoro Connect anime, hired a less popular seiyuu Ichiki Mitsuhiro, to record lines for what they claimed was an original character. When they then did a radio show with the other voice actors, namely Terashima Takuma & Mizushima Takahiro, they revealed that the guy recorded lines for nothing and it was all a hoax. He apparently even dropped some of his projects thinking he had a role but they just ended up laughing and making fun of him in front of everybody. At the end of the video they think it’s funny to offer the voice actor a job as a janitor. ( ´_ゝ｀) In Japan public humiliation is a huge deal and some people commit suicide because of it that’s why this is now a serious matter. Here’s a video of the horrid live show:
Edit 9/2/2012: Kokoro Connect anime site has issued an apology implying that the videos were altered and that uploading them to the web is illegal. LOL. Way to dig a deeper hole 
. Terashima Takuma has issued an apology on his blog but it implies that he and Ichiki are friends and that this was all the internet’s misunderstanding…and that the whole thing was really a staged act. ( ´_ゝ`)….right.
Otome Game Review: Storm Lover NatsuKoi!!
So remember that “beach school trip” thing in Storm Lover Kai? Basically this fandisk is dedicated to “expanding” it to be more than just a 1 time event. This time you spend 3 days with your guy and you get a chance to even start as “friends” and work your way up to lovers. Additionally they FINALLY gave routes to Takashi, Chihiro & the hidden character from this scenario. Unfortunately as with the previous game, it does give you the option to NTR though fortunately it doesn’t give you CGs so it’s not a requirement! ε=＼＿○ﾉ ｲﾔｯﾎｰｩ！ The gang stays at a fancy shmancy time share mansion funded by Yuuto while they have fun in the sun!
Otome Game Review: Storm Lover Kai!!
Our heroine Igarashi Yuuna moves into a new town and transfers to Saint Louis High. As she gets used to her surroundings, she gets to meet some hot dudes at her school. If she successfully stalks them and gets them to confess she’ll get a new boyfriend however she must be careful…if she screws up in their relationship, the guy will dump her or some ho will steal him. It’s up to you to make sure Yuuna’s relationship succeeds within a span of 1 year. Welcome to Tokimeki Memorial D3P Style
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-sama Debut
So after graduating Saotome academy Haruka is ready to “debut” with her dude until Saotome bursts in saying they all need to take a master course first. The master course will be lead by one of their idol senpais and the goal is to come up with a song in 3 months. If they succeed the senpai will give them a brother emblem which will be a token of passing to debuting. All the guys have to move in with their senpais leaving Haruka forever alone as she “works hard on her own”. And well they weren’t kidding because in this game Haruka pretty much tags along as the senpais give all the princes the run around with their attitudes. Not sure if this takes place before or after the fandisks but seeing how all the characters personalities get warped to horrible extremes, abandon all hope after the jump!
Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho 2 -Midnight Lesson!!!-
So following the first game, we now have a different heroine (who I’ve named Hiro In because Mary Sue was last game ) that’s got love problems. Her friends tell her about the renai banchos but she’s already well aware of it because she’s heard of the “Legendary Angel!” aka the first game’s Mary Sue. One day a flying chibi girl named Katherine gives Hiro a rainbow handkerchief saying to throw it up near a tree in the courtyard, rather than off the school rooftop like before. As she walks around confused a bunch of random guys, who she thinks are transfer students, ask her about the handkerchief but she lies saying she doesn’t have it. When she gets home she runs into Koakuma Bancho who tells her to stop lying and that throwing the handkerchief during a full moon will make something good happen to her. She goes back to the school courtyard at night and throws the handkerchief and immediately gets 8 hot men at her service. As like with Mary Sue, Hiro can now pick one of them to be her boyfriend for a year to teach her the ways of love.
Otome Android App Review: Himitsu no Ai-land Alarm Clock
I actually do intend to do a real review of this game once I buy all the dudes but for now here’s a review of the alarm clock app.
The game has 3 seiyuus, Terashima Takuma, Sugiyama Noriaki & Hino Satoshi voicing the main protagonists so the alarm clocks of course come with their voices! Since there’s not too many decent alarm apps for Android (unlike the mass of soine stuff for iphone) I guess if you like the seiyuus above you might like this alarm? For me? No thanks. The alarm voices are like a random line from the original game so basically it’s like someone saying “I like bacon & eggs!” as a wakeup call ಠ_ಠ The Hijikata app I paid money for is a million times better but this is free so I guess you get what you pay for lol. You can get Raika’s here (Terashima Takuma) and Sugiyama’s and Hino’s respectively (I forgot their character names.) I’m assuming the other 2 will probably say random lines as well but if you can’t spend money on the hakuoki apps and you don’t really care as long as it’s X seiyuu then go for it!
Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho
Our nameless heroine (who once again I’ve defaulted to Mary Sue) finds herself in a predicament: she cannot properly fall in love! All her friends have boyfriends and she’s the only one left who is single. No matter what guys try hitting on her, she responds like a log and she feels like she’s just not meant for romance. Her friends tell her there’s a legend that if you go up to the highest part of the school building (aka the rooftop) and throw off a yellow handkerchief, Renai Bancho will come and solve all your romantic problems. Mary’s an insatiable ho, so she throws a rainbow handkerchief off and instead of 1, she gets 6 banchos + one in training, Yasu to help her get her love life back on track.

Well again same as the previous fandisk but this time the routes are for the Class S guys + Ringo & Ryuuya sensei. Class A guys are starring in a movie so they’re too busy to hang out with you until Ringo’s route.
Otome Game Review: Uta no Prince-Sama♪ -Amazing Aria-
This is the first UtaPri fandisk that came out featuring Class A + Cecil (and one more who I won’t spoil in the intro paragraph x3.) While Class S is busy doing recording for a new drama, Haruka gets to have fun with the class A dudes overcoming whatever random drama comes their way. Not going to be too much here as each route was only 4 chapters but more after the jump!
