Otome Game Review: Wand of Fortune II FD ~Kimi ni Sasageru Epilogue~

The fandisk to WOF2 in which you meet a fairy named Bell who looks like a chibi Lulu. She’s transcended time & space and is here to let Lulu see her past, present and future! In the past section Lulu turns into a loli and runs around causing trouble. In the present, she attends a great ball with one of the guys. In the future, it’s the after story of 3 years later with both Lulu and her guy near graduation and ready to get married.

Otome Game Review: Wand of Fortune II ~Jikuu ni Shizumu Mokushiroku~

Following the normal end of the first game, here’s the sequel to Wand of Fortune. Unfortunately for players of the first game, this game wants you to forget and/or pretend most of the events in the first game never happened. Story is Bilal is on his way back to his country so everyone’s taking a memorial photo together. So then Edgar goes to take the photo with his magnifying glass (which is apparently also a camera) but as usual he screws up and his magnifier goes out of control. Suddenly Lulu finds herself lost in a forest with some guy who sounds like the mask in the Solomon item shop. He names himself Persona and his sleepy friend Solomon help her find the rest of her friends. She meets Fatta Morgana face to face and he explains that they’ve been thrown into the past because of Lulu’s fail magic and Edgar’s magnifier. On top of this, Lulu’s magical wand breaks! Solomon tells them they need to gather memory stones in order to return back to the FORTUNE FUTURE! He gives Lulu a sailor moon prism power makeup compact to use in the meantime until she can gather enough elemental stones. Unfortunately they also find out that they’ve jumped back right before the  start of the Great Latium War.

Otome Game Review: Wand of Fortune ~Mirai e no Prologue~ Portable

Well here’s the fandisk to Wand of Fortune. Plot is pretty thin – some new kid with a magnifying glass runs around trying to update his newspaper but he sucks at magic just like Lulu…who is busy bawwing that she can’t handle her new all-property powers. There’s also a short story about shipping Cynthia with Matthew.

Otome Game Review: Wand of Fortune Portable

So I made a promise to some friends to play this game and we coined ourselves the #WOFSufferingTeam. Unfortunately it seems like the other 2 were casualties of the draggy system and so far I’m the only survivor who managed to fully complete the game. So anyway, our heroine Lulu’s granny gave her a magic wand when she was a loli and ever since that day Lulu decided to become a mage. She enrolls in a magic academy called Mills Claire and she must train hard in order to pass the final exam. So basically it’s like this game but without the porn.

Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho 2 -Midnight Lesson!!!-

So following the first game, we now have a different heroine (who I’ve named Hiro In because Mary Sue was last game  ) that’s got love problems. Her friends tell her about the renai banchos but she’s already well aware of it because she’s heard of the “Legendary Angel!” aka the first game’s Mary Sue. One day a flying chibi girl named Katherine gives Hiro a rainbow handkerchief saying to throw it up near a tree in the courtyard, rather than off the school rooftop like before. As she walks around confused a bunch of random guys, who she thinks are transfer students, ask her about the handkerchief but she lies saying she doesn’t have it. When she gets home she runs into Koakuma Bancho who tells her to stop lying and that throwing the handkerchief during a full moon will make something good happen to her. She goes back to the school courtyard at night and throws the handkerchief and immediately gets 8 hot men at her service. As like with Mary Sue, Hiro can now pick one of them to be her boyfriend for a year to teach her the ways of love.

Otome Game Review: Renai Bancho

Our nameless heroine (who once again I’ve defaulted to Mary Sue) finds herself in a predicament: she cannot properly fall in love! All her friends have boyfriends and she’s the only one left who is single. No matter what guys try hitting on her, she responds like a log and she feels like she’s just not meant for romance. Her friends tell her there’s a legend that if you go up to the highest part of the school building (aka the rooftop) and throw off a yellow handkerchief, Renai Bancho will come and solve all your romantic problems. Mary’s an insatiable ho, so she throws a rainbow handkerchief off and instead of 1, she gets 6 banchos + one in training, Yasu to help her get her love life back on track.

Otome Game Review: Love Drops (PS2)

So for old time’s sake I decided to replay my first otome game, Love Drops for the PS2. Obviously this means taking out all the pr0n, adding new scenes and there’s actually a new character. This will be mostly a comparison post rather than a full summary. For the original game summary please see my PC game post.

Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta XXX

So the XXX stands for kiss kiss kiss rather than porn…I don’t think they thought about their naming idea all the way through  So anyway fandisk time! There are some positives over the last game. The CG quality has improved (slightly) and the choices are no longer timed. The cutouts in the dialogue box match the standing ones in the middle now too. Unfortunately there’s only about 24 CGs total and they completely removed the heroine’s voice. Bummer. That means I can’t go multi tasking or I miss half the dialogue ┐(‘~`;)┌ Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: Soshite Kono Sora ni Kirameku Kimi no Uta

I didn’t realize this game got 1 star ratings on Amazon Japan until I was almost done with the first route….and I could definitely agree with everything that was said. But you know me and my thing for playing terrible otome games so I plowed through it anyway!   The story is about a girl named Rumina who is the princess of the Saint Foria space colony (pardon the spelling I’m sure I butchered all these Katakana names.) This colony is located in an enclosed space. Rumina is pretty ignorant being a princess and all and has no idea that the people of her kingdom are suffering – until she runs out of the castle one day to see what the common folk are doing. She then gets to travel the universe and even meet the King of Gaia (aka earth) where she learns that people should not be treated as slaves and actually PAID for their work! (something our current US economy could learn but anyway *cough). So yea since she’s a princess and all, she’s gotta marry some rich dude so the kingdoms can merge and we avoid international intrigue over war and wealth! Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: Himehibi -New Princess Days- Zoku! Nigakki

This game is a direct sequel to the first game I played prior to it. This time, our past heroine Koi has gone to study abroad in France with Masaya and Nao so now the school is back to being all dudes. They opened up registration for girls but because it will take 2 years for them to finish building the girls dorm, not a single female has enrolled. Meanwhile elsewhere a girl who lives alone with her older brother is told they are going to have to move. Her brother gets a job at Tenjouji Gakuen and so she is forced to move up there with him (since the school is in the middle of some mountain lol.) When they get there and find out its all guys they are both upset and her brother says they will only stay there for a month. Nanami, our new heroine, agrees to this but at the same time Ken attacks the prey while it’s still fresh and revives the Princess club  Nanami ends up staying in Koi’s old room and is told she would be Koi’s room mate when she returned from France. Spoilers ahead~! Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: Tsundere S Otome -sweet sweet sweet-

The story is about a girl whose boyfriend dumps her because he sees her one night without her make up on (kick him to da curb woman!! :x ) She then gets hooked on some band called Kronos and makes a fansite where she meets some dude online named Naga-kun. He helps her get out of her slump and invites her to go see the live concert because he had an extra ticket. When she finally meets him he says “oh wow you’re fatter than I expected.”  So she’s so upset that everyone thinks shes plain and fat that she goes on a diet and learns how to wear make up. So now that her horrible high school days are behind her, she’s ready to catch some hot mans in college. Read the rest of this entry
