Android Otome Game Review: Yamanote Danshi

This game was draining my battery so I decided to finally sit down and finish it once and for all
. I actually started it 6 months ago but the rate you play for free is pretty awful so that’s why it took me this long. Anyway more on that in my final thoughts. Story is about our heroine Maeko (name I randomly generated) who works at a magazine firm and she’s assigned to do an interview of the daily life of some hot dude in the Tokyo Yamanote Area. (Lol TYB anyone??) But of course as would have with any kind of hot dude, Maeko finds herself falling in love with him beyond the scope of her job.
Otome Game Review: Okashi na Shima no Peter Pan ~Sweet Never Land~
Wendy Darling is trying to be the perfect daughter so that her mother will finally stop berating her and show her approval. Her mother used to be kind & gentle until her father died and she was forced to return to the workforce. After this the only thing that mattered was money and despite remarrying, she continued her cold hardass attitude. Wendy in the meantime gained 2 step brothers that she became responsible for in addition to being Miss Perfect herself. One day she runs into a shota in town by the name of Peter Pan and at night he bed intrudes into her room telling her he’s taking her to his country, Never Land. Not only that, but he also wants Wendy and her 2 brothers to be judges in a sweets competition that he’s holding. Wendy, John and Michael are flown into Neverland to be judges, but unfortunately unlike Michael, Wendy & John both have traumas regarding sweets and refuse to eat them. Since they are judging the sweets based only on “looks” their judging is false and they continue failing to properly judge the competition. Unless Wendy & her brothers can all successfully agree on a single winner from the bottom of their hearts, they cannot return home.
Otome Game Review: Double Reaction! Plus
I must be high to play another game by Datam/Polystar after this disaster but CURIOSITY GOT THE BEST OF ME.
Our heroine Yuri, who is a rabid yaoi fangirl, is pissed off that she’s not as good looking as her twin brother Kairi. They find a wishing stone and then Yuri picks it up wishing she was a sexy beast…but then she drops the stone and breaks it. About 18 days later, on September 1st she starts her new school life with Kairi, but one morning they find that stone she broke back on top of her bed. When Yuri touches the stone, she and her brother end up switching bodies (:.o゚з゚o:.).:∵ぶっ While her brother isn’t too happy being a girl, our heroine Yuri can’t wait to spend her time being a bishounen and yaoi it up with some dudes. The body switching seems to be on and off and so the twins’ adventures begin! Pardon the OP movie quality, I had to record it with Bandicam cause I couldn’t find a single upload of it anywhere (´・ω・`;A).

Otome Game Review: Sora*Yume
The story is about Mizunaga Satsuki whose parents run some antique item store. One day she finds a ring in the storage room and it turns into some caped dude with a sword through his chest. She pulls the sword out and then he tells her the reason he’s not bleeding is because he’s a demon. She hears this and passes out and hears various ikemans proposing their love to her. She wakes up thinking it was all a dream until she wakes up to the demon-man right in her face. Turns out she’s released the seal of the ring and now he’s looking for the Heliotrope ring and asks Satsuki to help him find & destroy it. The reason is because anyone who puts the ring on will get their wishes granted, but at the expense that the ring will devour their blood until it merges with their body & turns them into a hateful blood sucking vampire. As Satsuki searches for the ring with the help of her tsukaima, she starts to discover many things about herself and the people around her. Skip to my final thoughts to avoid spoilers! Otome Game Review: Last Escort ~Kurochou Special Night~
As I mentioned in my last post, this is the appendix disk to the original LE. You’re supposed to be able to transfer all your save data and etc. from the first game. I tried to do this many times but after failing I decided to just start from Minazuki’s route and try to make his and Chihiro’s gifts along the way. Fortunately along the way somehow magically….everything transferred O_O! I was so happy I could cry and to add on to my happiness I ended up winning the 20 million yen jackpot like 8 months in a row /(^o^)\ナンテコッタイ So anyway the only thing that didn’t transfer were my saves but all the Cgs, mails and thank god even gifts transferred. That means the wagashi gifts I made for Minazuki in the first game I didn’t have to remake! Yippie! Read the rest of this entry
Otome Game Review: Last Escort ~Shinya Kurochou Monogatari~
I call February host club month because I’ve decided to duke it out and make my way through all 3 last escorts! ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \ The story is about our heroine Akari whose father owns a host club “Gorgeous” that she decides to start attending. Her father ironically isn’t too happy about this but it doesn’t matter because she gets to visit hot mans and blow her life savings to make sure they get the number one host spot! I almost gave up on this game but Koori helped me out at the beginning which motivated me to continue. You have to first run 1 route of just doing part time jobs to make money and then using that money to buy supplies to make presents for all the mans. That means you gotta make sweaters, earrings, bracelets, hats, scarves, 3 course meals and paint pretty pictures. I mean our heroine really is a jack of all trades! Of course unless you have save state, when you make these presents and they fail you will lose the items and you’ll need to buy more. With save state it was very easy so yea unless you play this on an emulator the game is the equivalent of getting spanked with a belt over and over
Once you make all the gifts and you get the “friend” ending, you can then start playing all the guys routes. While you won’t actually gift them every single gift, you do get a cute “I love you” message from each guy when you complete his “set” of gifts so it was a nice reward for all the effort you have to put in. While doing all the mans’ routes you have to then cheat using save state or in game save and win the jackpot lottery. There’s no way to be able to afford the alcohol for the guy twice a month (which comes out to about 3.5 million yen each time) unless you win the lottery. That said, this game’s values are incredibly unrealistic but let’s roll with it!
Otome Game Review: Your Memories Off -Girls Style-
The story is about a girl named Tsukioka Umi who’s in her last year of high school and one day her otaku classmate invites her to go to a live band show by a local college band. She’s very impressed by it and then it so happens that she meets the band members at her part time job at a cafe. She asks if she can go watch them practice and she ends up singing with them. They are all impressed, especially the leader Shunichi that he asks if she can join their band and so she becomes their lead singer. Umi also has a pet bunny named Sora who I think gets more CGs than he deserves lol but let’s get rolling. Read the rest of this entry
Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~After Spring~
Welcome to the never ending chronicles of eyeless…wait! It’s a miracle! Tsukiko has EYES! Thank god, the poor girl was going blind in all 4 games but finally honeybee decided to give her some face surgery. So anyway now I guess would be the time period between when the Spring series ended and the “last” CG of the game when they all got married lol. The game starts in the fall and takes place over about a 2 year period but it goes by really quickly. The first part of the game requires you to do some stupid route with some side characters which then unlocks the “after story” with one of the 3 guys (depending whose name you pick a million times in the first part.) After you finish one of the guys good ends there’s also a mini epilogue. While there are 3 endings for each guy you only need to do 1 of the endings to get all the CGs. The other endings are just extra babbling/scenario by the character and since it’s from his POV it starts to get annoying..FAST. Sigh anyway not gonna be much to write here but enjoy! Otome Game Review: Happy☆Magic!

I don’t think Pony Canyon should ever make Otome Games but they did and I was unfortunate enough to play it. Actually I didn’t really do any background research on this (like I never do honestly) but it feels to me like they just got a bunch of famous seiyuus just to do some drama CDs and then made the otome game as a side thing? Kinda like with Starry Sky. Of course unlike with this game, HoneyBee actually had a decent artist and programmer do the game. Anyway the story is very simple. Your teacher tells you to snag a man before Christmas or something and then you will get a special “jewel” depending on which man you snag. So now with your annoying tsukkomi cat Nyaa (voiced appropriately by ishida akira) our heroine Temari, who is also studying to be a witch, is ready to catch some pokemans bishies! Game Review: Clannad
This is my rehash Clannad review. I saw both anime series and I have to say it was a pretty poor adaptation in comparison to Air and Kanon. It’s too bad by the time they animated Clannad KyoAni was all about moefodder shit to actually care to animate it properly. I did cry in after story but the 2nd half of the first series and 1st half of the 2nd series was complete and utter shit. The game however was brilliant and I cried through an entire tissue box.
