Otome Game Review: Amnesia -Crowd-
When Otomate announced Amnesia Crowd nobody knew what it was about. Everyone thought it was going to be a sequel, a new deeper story for the Amnesia world. I felt something was fishy when the story page listed the exact same story as the original and in my head I thought this was going to be some kind of a remake. Turns out, it’s actually just a 2nd fandisk and may as well be called Amnesia -Even Later-. The suspense section features a time when Mary Sue is stuck somewhere during the first game and your man of choice has to save her. The working section features Mary just working her part time job at Meido no Hitsuji where you play some annoying mini games and interact with chibi versions of the characters. The Love section goes a bit further beyond Later and shows Mary and your dude of choice finally getting married after graduating college. Since Working and Suspense take place in the first game, Mary once again doesn’t talk. (;´∀`)

Otome Game Review: Omochabako no Kuni no Alice
This is the 2nd Alice series fandisk after joker. The first half features some original stories with the usual cast in Wonderland, Joker inclusive so that means we still have seasons in various places. The 2nd half is a school parody where the cast of Alice is thrown into the Symphonia Magic Academy from QR’s first game Wizard & Master. Alice transfers to the Symphonia Academy because her CHILDHOOD FRIEND Peter wants to go to the same school as her…and Alice is looking to get away from her sister out of jealousy, just like in the original story. Starting with this game, Quin Rose ditches the turn based system to give us a relaxed straight VN gameplay.
Otome Game Review: Joker no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~
“April Season” has been bestowed on our beloved wonderland. It’s basically Wonderland being stuck in a timeloop that is April 1st aka April Fool’s. Despite being called April Season, all it means is the entire wonderland experiences different seasons based on location. Spring at the heart castle, autumn at the Hatter mansion, Winter at the Clover tower and Summer at the amusement park. This time Alice can’t visit those areas unless the Wonderland season overall matches with the season of that area. Not only that but now there’s an addition of a giant circus run by the Joker in the Door Forest since he’s the “fool” in April Fool’s. Beyond the circus lies the Joker’s prison in which lies the truth to Alice and the world from which she came from. The best part of course Julius and Gowland are back!
Otome Game Review: Clover no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~
So for reasons no other than Quin Rose wanting to do more Alice series, Alice and the wonderland gang move to the country of Clovers. The amusement park and clock tower are gone, replaced with the Clover castle and a forest which has whales swimming through it somehow. ヽ(。_゜)ノ Alice isn’t officially dating anyone but she still has memories so it’s upsetting that Julius and Gowland didn’t move with everyone. Instead she meets Nightmare’s new assistant Gray and a furry mouse in the forest( who’s Boris’ new playtoy) named Pierce. With Julius gone, Nightmare is in charge but he’s too busy coughing up blood so he’s got Gray doing all the dirty work for him. Since Nightmare’s busy running the place, he doesn’t have time to bed intrude into Alice’s dreams so instead she keeps having siscon dreams of Lorina who even in Alice’s dreams tells her to let go and move on with her life. During various periods throughout the game, everyone gathers at the Clover Castle for the assembly during which time fighting is not allowed.
Otome Game Review: Anniversary no Kuni no Alice
There once was an otome game released by Quin Rose called Heart no Kuni no Alice which made you visit characters over 300 times and had some poorly drawn artwork. Since the story was entertaining enough, QR decided to do a remake which they dubbed the “Anniversary Version” where they redid all the art, sprites and cut the number of turns by 100. After this gained enough popularity they decided to port it to the PSP so people could carry it on their way out the door and get more turns done in a day then they would only sitting in front of their PC. And so I bring you the review of the PSP port of Anniversary no Kuni no Alice. Our story takes place where our very rich heroine Alice Lidell is listening to her older sister Lorina read a book to her outside under a tree. Alice admires her sister a lot but in a complex kind of way, due to the fact that her ex-boyfriend dumped her for her sister, who her sister dumped as he wasn’t man enough. As her sister goes to get a deck of cards, Alice decides to take a nap. Her beauty sleep is interrupted when a furry white rabbit named Peter White abducts her and throws her down a hole into Wonderland. As he professes his undying love, he kisses her making her drink some bitter liquid and says that she’s now involved in the game of Wonderland – in which all the people who live there are at Battle Royale with each other on a daily basis. In order for Alice to return home, she needs to whore herself around to various leaders of the various battle zones and gather hearts while avoiding the aspect of self responsibility. Unfortunately for our tsuntsun QR heroine, her plans to return get crushed when she starts falling in love.
Otome Game Review: Vampire Sweetie
The daughter of an beachhouse owner Yurie Evangeline is told by her father to take care of the house and its guests while he’s out on business. However Yurie didn’t expect that suddenly she has to take care of 4 brothers, all of which are vampires. Also I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the heroine has the same name as the person who wrote this game
Be warned this game’s R-18 so read at your own risk!
Otome Game Review: S.Y.K. ~Renshouden~
And so this is the SYK fandisk. I was intending to play the PSP version for the omakes but since it decided to crash on me everytime I wanted to skip the damn opening movie I decided to play the PS2 version instead! The game contains after stories for the whole cast as well as some side stories for the heaven dudes.
Otome Game Review: S.Y.K. ~Shinsetsu Saiyuki~
Since Otomate decided to do a game based off Houshin Engi, I figured now would be a good time to get this out of my backlog. This is basically Otomate’s spin on a Journey to the West. Since this is the Japanese version though, it’s actually quite similar to this, but instead Genjou Sanzou this time is our HEROINE, who gathers her group of good looking idiots to go on an epic adventure to Tenjiku to save the world!
Otome Game Review: Amnesia -Later-
This the fandisk to Amnesia. There’s “New World” which is like another story to the original story where Mary Sue still has no memories. The After Story takes place after she regains her memories in the original game and then there’s other bonuses like Waka World and Girls Party. Additionally you get a chance to reflect on your past journey with Orion.
Otome Game Review: Vitamin X Detective B6
This time the story puts our Vitamin X cast into an alternate universe where Minami Yuri is the Chief of her detective agency and the B6 are her employees! They get people asking them to solve cases such as finding a cat or seeing if someone’s husband is cheating on his wife. The T6 have taken random jobs around town (such as bartender or barber) but they do help out with various cases along the way. Ultimately it all boils down to a pair of art thieves and something fishy going on with the Mayor in town.
Otome Game Review: Amnesia
One day you wake up trippin’ balls and find that a shota with horns has crawled into your brain. He calls himself Orion and says that due to some pime taradox he’s ended up in your head and now you have amnesia! The only way for him to get out is to get your memories back. So now our heroine, who I’ve appropriately named Mary (short for Mary Sue – as she doesn’t come with a default name) must go on an Agatha Christie adventure with Orion to get her memories back and figure out who dunnit to make them fly off in the first place. Mary has to face 5 creepers while looking for her memories, but she can’t fend any of them off because she doesn’t talk! That’s right you have to just imagine what she is saying or thinking or hope that Orion’s snarky commentary covers it.
