So I ran a backlog poll on my blog a few weeks ago and All Star was the top choice so while waiting for my Amnesia Crowd to arrive I figured it would be a good way to kill a week. Surprisingly the game took longer than a week but ultimately – I REGRET NOTHING. Those who read my Debut review may remember my SCATHING words towards UtaPri and Broccoli and the many tables that were flipped during broadcast. Fortunately, Broccoli listened to their reviews on Amazon, kicked out all the fanfic writers and had Mr. Crazy Goat handle the storyline this time around. With this, the game went back to being a fun game about a hard working music composer and the idols she composes songs for. Our story this time is Haruka has no partner and she ended up graduating all on her own efforts (fuck yea screw those men Haruka you don’t need them!) She wasn’t able to take the master course cause all the guys were busy BLing up with each other and leaving her forever alone. Haruka’s new job is to compose a song for the Christmas concert featuring the special shuffle unit with the 4 senpais: Reiji, Ranmaru, Ai and Camus. In addition, after this she must partner up with one of them and compose a song to enter into the music festival competition. If she does not win the competition she will not be able to debut and will be kicked out of the agency.
So remember that “beach school trip” thing in Storm Lover Kai? Basically this fandisk is dedicated to “expanding” it to be more than just a 1 time event. This time you spend 3 days with your guy and you get a chance to even start as “friends” and work your way up to lovers. Additionally they FINALLY gave routes to Takashi, Chihiro & the hidden character from this scenario. Unfortunately as with the previous game, it does give you the option to NTR though fortunately it doesn’t give you CGs so it’s not a requirement! ε=＼＿○ﾉ ｲﾔｯﾎｰｩ！ The gang stays at a fancy shmancy time share mansion funded by Yuuto while they have fun in the sun!
Our heroine Igarashi Yuuna moves into a new town and transfers to Saint Louis High. As she gets used to her surroundings, she gets to meet some hot dudes at her school. If she successfully stalks them and gets them to confess she’ll get a new boyfriend however she must be careful…if she screws up in their relationship, the guy will dump her or some ho will steal him. It’s up to you to make sure Yuuna’s relationship succeeds within a span of 1 year. Welcome to Tokimeki Memorial D3P Style
So after graduating Saotome academy Haruka is ready to “debut” with her dude until Saotome bursts in saying they all need to take a master course first. The master course will be lead by one of their idol senpais and the goal is to come up with a song in 3 months. If they succeed the senpai will give them a brother emblem which will be a token of passing to debuting. All the guys have to move in with their senpais leaving Haruka forever alone as she “works hard on her own”. And well they weren’t kidding because in this game Haruka pretty much tags along as the senpais give all the princes the run around with their attitudes. Not sure if this takes place before or after the fandisks but seeing how all the characters personalities get warped to horrible extremes, abandon all hope after the jump!
And so this is the final fandisk to the Starry Sky series! ε=＼＿○ﾉ ｲﾔｯﾎｰｩ！ Aside from getting after stories with Tsubasa, Kazuki & Hayato, we also get to do some routes with Ooshirou and Shiki (who was shoved in last minute forcing this game to be delayed by almost a year.) This time they don’t waste any moment and go right into the after stories without any kind of prologue or another story at the beginning.
Well again same as the previous fandisk but this time the routes are for the Class S guys + Ringo & Ryuuya sensei. Class A guys are starring in a movie so they’re too busy to hang out with you until Ringo’s route.
So a few years ago Broccoli released a game called Uta no Prince Sama. However not realizing how popular it would get, they didn’t give a damn about the artwork and released it with graphics that were half finished with backgrounds that looked like a tyedye T-shirt from 1960. So then after they released 2 fandisks where the art was a million times better and suddenly felt horrible about the crap that was the original UtaPri game. With that in mind, they decided to re-release UtaPri adding REPEAT at the end with completely redrawn character sprites and CGs, as well as adding some bonus omake extra stories. And so Uta no Prince Sama REPEAT was born. Our story takes place in Saotome Gakuen where students go to become either idol singers or song writers. Our heroine, Nanami Haruka has enrolled to become an idol song writer, and lucky for her, she gets to be paired with one of 6 hot men to make her dreams come true. Sadly, the school principal Shining Saotome has made a drastic rule that you are not allowed to fall in love.
So since I was playing love drops on the PS2, I decided to occupy my commute to work by playing another rhythm game. I figured since I just played Project Diva, I’d be pro at UtaPri music right? WRONG.
Now normally the only RPG games I play are the MMO kind so I had almost rage quit this too but as usual Koori helped me persevere and eventually I had things figured out. I also read Sharakael’s tips on the game so be sure to check those out for more useful information! If you’ve made it through Love Revo, then I can assure you that you can make it through this since essentially the effort is the same – but this game allows you to carry over character levels making each route a lot easier. The story is about our heroine Nina who is playing an otome RPG game (because she’s an otaku apparently) and then one morning she gets sucked into it! So now it’s up to US to play the game for her so she can get out of the land of Rode The ironic part being of course – Nina has a boyfriend! But what does she do? Get cozy with videogame hunks despite him later falling into the game as well and joining her party! ／(^o^)＼ﾅﾝﾃｺｯﾀｲ Warning I’ve included a guide so this post is going to be long! This is another one of those games where the seiyuu cast is amazing and everything else is balls. The story is about our heroine Tsuzuri whose mother is a fortune teller. One day her mom Sakura goes missing in action, leaving Tsuzuri and her brother Amane, saying she’s gone to look for their father. She leaves without saying where she’s going and how long she’ll be gone and now all of her fortune telling customers demand to see her. It’s up to Tsuzuri to train (aka for you to raise stats) so that she can become a super fortune teller and snag that man. Quality over 9000 ahead! Read the rest of this entry
The story is about a girl named Himemiya Yukari who lives in a huge house with her loli mother and Gendo Ikari father. Everything seems normal until one day after school she runs into some guy who grabs her by the arm saying he “needs her” and then suddenly a phantom thief on a horse shows up and saves her!? Everything just gets weirder from there when suddenly the guy who grabbed her comes to live at their house claiming to be her “cousin” whose family is “abroad and wants him to study Japanese culture”. All of a sudden an army trap, the phantom thief, a shota angel, a ninja and some crazy dude who wants to kill her – all move into her house! They’re all after her special magical stone which she has no idea about. Now she has to spend the rest of her days as everyone fights over her while trying to be your average school girl! ／(^o^)＼ﾅﾝﾃｺｯﾀｲ Read the rest of this entry
Well since I saw the anime 2 years ago and it had a really crappy ending, I figured I’d play the game in hopes that we’d get more content and a better end. While we do indeed get more content and a better ending, we also get a bunch of unnecessary things. The entire game basically runs around Lydia reading some letters from people asking for help regarding some fairy related event. Lydia of course gets on top of things and as usual Edgar tags along. The game also started with a massive flashback to the anime using anime screencaps (and not good ones at that.) One of the episodes was also them basically taking the anime episode and using screencaps to turn it into a ‘story’. For someone who never watched the anime this may be okay, but since I saw the anime I was really annoyed having to see the same crap all over again. Read the rest of this entry
