Otome Game Review: Garnet Cradle ~Sugary Sparkle~

Unfortunately there's no opening movie.

Fandisk キタ━━━(゚(゚∀(゚∀゚(☆∀☆)゚∀゚)∀゚)゚)━━━!!! Yea I’ve been wanting to play this for a long time ❤ The premise basically is Miku wants to go to the school’s Christmas party and then her dad gives her a box of candy. Depending on the candy you choose, it throws you into a “Miku is in a relationship with XXX but he doesn’t seem to show his love for her” story. Additionally all the guys get some goofy new outfit (like some wolf ears for Saliya and some traditional Japanese garments for Touya.) Details & spoilers after the jump as usual! Otome Game Review: Pretty Witch Academy

This game felt more like an mmorpg to me than an typical dating sim but let’s roll with it :D . JP commented that it’s harry potter the otome game but I think it’s a lot more similar to Zero no Tsukaima lol xD. The story starts out with a flashback of an abandoned baby. A woman who already has a baby of her own volunteers to take it under her wing and raise it as her own child. With this she raises her real son Akito and her newly adopted daughter Yume. The two of them grow up to be happy siblings, until Akito turns 14 and hits puberty therefore starting to probably have feelings for his non-blood related sister. I see what ya did thar Strawberry Maiden xD Now at age 19, they both set off for the Silver Star Magic Academy (located in England lol) where if you pass special magical trials, you can make a wish upon the golden dragon. Yume’s wish is to find out who her real parents are. Yume’s room mate is a fat girl from China named Gyokurei, who is also already married but her husband is back in his home country. Be warned the game is R-18. Also super major spoilers and tl;dr ahead – so if you wanna skip them just scroll all the way down to my final impressions. Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: Garnet Cradle

What happens if you take Fushigi Yuugi and combine it with Hanasakeru Seishounen? You get this otome game. The story is about a very ojou-sama type heroine who her best friend and brother call “hime-sama”. She also gets picked for some important main lead role in the traditional school play. She’s also one of the top school students and the class president of her class. Hell even the randy nurse man hits on her. She’s got 2 close female friends Nono-chan and Tsubaki-chan – although Tsubaki is actually an important role in one of the routes while Nono is just the “supportive best friend” character. One day she chases some black nuko and ends up in some arabian country that she read about in her play book (hence the FY reference.) Apparently she’s some shrine maiden princess who will save that country (hurr) and make the prince there a king.  During the night in the other world she ends up back at home in her world. Then when she goes to sleep at night in her world, she’s back in arabian country land. And so our story begins. (Warning: Major spoilers ahead, name butchering follows.) Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~In Summer~

Similarly to the spring version, the heroine is…YOU. No. The heroine is Yohisa Tsukiko and it feels really weird because all the guys from the previous games still go to her school but they’re basically background characters. In addition, there have been cameo appearances made by characters who will be in the autumn and winter games  This time the story takes place from June – August, and the main focus is Tsukiko is now a member of the archery club where she gets to snag the top 3 arrow shooting bishies. I’ve been requested to tell what signs the guys are so….Azusa is Sagittarrius, Ryunosuke is Scorpio (like me!), and Homare is Taurus. The thing is – based on their birthdates though, Homare should be Gemini, Ryunosuke should be Sagittarius. Azusa is ok though he just makes the cut off date. I’m not really sure what astrology calendar the makers of this game are following to be honest lol. Read the rest of this entry
