Otome Game Review: Petit Four
Kanzaki Mei decides to take a part time job at her grandpa’s French pastry restaurant but she gets slapped in the face with 2 shocking revelations: Grandpa’s been hospitalized & the restaurant is going to close. In order to stop this from happening, the manager & main chef tell her she needs to gather staff ASAP. Mei’s like “challenge accepted” and gathers a staff of hot mans joining them to serve the guests of Petit Four~!
Otome Game Review: Kami Naru Kimi To
Kamiki Sakuya is your average high school girl, with a spunky personality (for once) who likes nagging her childhood friend Narumi, and dragging him everywhere she goes. One day she goes to the shrine that his family runs and gets a fortune saying “From today on you will be a god.” Suddenly the shrine god Amatsukunihoshinomikoto (aka Mikoto) appears before her and gives his god powers to her. He says he needs a break and wants to a vacation from his godly duties before he’s summoned back to heaven during the yearly star festival. Sakuya passes out and when she wakes up she can see demons, and ghosts and people now start calling her Kami-sama. With the help of her friends, shrine guard dog Yorihito (de gozaru) and 3 mischievous animal gods (a love advice giving cat, samurai bear, and Russian Engrish speaking penguin ), Sakuya’s new godly duties require helping people and making their wishes come true.
Otome Game Review: Gakuen Tokkyuu Hotokenser
Ootori Kureha is a transfer student at the Mihotoke Gakuen. On her first day the principal, who is the friend of her deceased father, informs her that the school was built on some sacred ground which is the on the borderline of some world of evil spirits. There are power rangers chosen to stop these evil spirits and Kureha has been chosen as the red ranger, leader of the group! She also has to join the student council, along with Yellow, Green & Blue rangers and whenever her eraser-kun fires the alarm, it’s time to defeat some bad guys! Will Kureha be able to face her destiny and perhaps snag one of the other rangers along with it? 
Otome Game Review: Last Escort 2 ~Shinya no Amai Toge~
So continuing with my February Escort Month we’re moving on to #2. I guess D3p realized that LE 1 was just too much torture and LE2 was significantly easier. The obvious things were that you didn’t have to spam the lottery to earn money. You earned money by selling random crap on L-Ebay. You could buy so much crap in 1 route and go into the red but you’d start fresh in the next route, keep all your items and sell them for more money! Yes it’s cheating but it beats lottery spam After about 4? routes of ebaying my 99 computers and refrigerators I no longer even needed to do this as my 3.5 million would kinda balance out to the same amount every time I started & finished the next route. Additionally you could save at any point! Change options at any point! What a concept! That means if you weren’t playing on an emulator this game wouldn’t make you rage 20 times over. They hired a different artist to draw the guys so everyone’s hotness level instantly went up! Just like with LE1 the music was very jazzy as well and just like with LE1 I’m sad to say there was no music gallery either ( ´_ゝ`). Bummer. Anyway this time the club is still club Gorgeous but our heroine is Andou Serika who is a 20 year old magazine reporter. The new Gorgeous tenchou is now Amane and not Minazuki ;_;. The club also looks less golden and more sleezy. Additionally the game time has been cut from a full year span to only a half year span and they added some mini games to try to entertain (read: enrage) you. Read the rest of this entry
Otome Game Review: Last Escort ~Kurochou Special Night~
As I mentioned in my last post, this is the appendix disk to the original LE. You’re supposed to be able to transfer all your save data and etc. from the first game. I tried to do this many times but after failing I decided to just start from Minazuki’s route and try to make his and Chihiro’s gifts along the way. Fortunately along the way somehow magically….everything transferred O_O! I was so happy I could cry and to add on to my happiness I ended up winning the 20 million yen jackpot like 8 months in a row ／(^o^)＼ﾅﾝﾃｺｯﾀｲ So anyway the only thing that didn’t transfer were my saves but all the Cgs, mails and thank god even gifts transferred. That means the wagashi gifts I made for Minazuki in the first game I didn’t have to remake! Yippie! Read the rest of this entry
Otome Game Review: Last Escort ~Shinya Kurochou Monogatari~
I call February host club month because I’ve decided to duke it out and make my way through all 3 last escorts! ( ﾟ∀ﾟ)ｱﾊﾊ八八ﾉヽﾉヽﾉヽﾉ ＼ / ＼/ ＼ The story is about our heroine Akari whose father owns a host club “Gorgeous” that she decides to start attending. Her father ironically isn’t too happy about this but it doesn’t matter because she gets to visit hot mans and blow her life savings to make sure they get the number one host spot! I almost gave up on this game but Koori helped me out at the beginning which motivated me to continue. You have to first run 1 route of just doing part time jobs to make money and then using that money to buy supplies to make presents for all the mans. That means you gotta make sweaters, earrings, bracelets, hats, scarves, 3 course meals and paint pretty pictures. I mean our heroine really is a jack of all trades! Of course unless you have save state, when you make these presents and they fail you will lose the items and you’ll need to buy more. With save state it was very easy so yea unless you play this on an emulator the game is the equivalent of getting spanked with a belt over and over Once you make all the gifts and you get the “friend” ending, you can then start playing all the guys routes. While you won’t actually gift them every single gift, you do get a cute “I love you” message from each guy when you complete his “set” of gifts so it was a nice reward for all the effort you have to put in. While doing all the mans’ routes you have to then cheat using save state or in game save and win the jackpot lottery. There’s no way to be able to afford the alcohol for the guy twice a month (which comes out to about 3.5 million yen each time) unless you win the lottery. That said, this game’s values are incredibly unrealistic but let’s roll with it!
Otome Game Review: Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo!!
For starters this is the most complicated otome game I’ve ever played. If you think you can just click your way through choices and stuff you’ve got another thought coming. This game requires you to take our 100kg heroine Hitomi, and get her down to 55 or less within a years time period. Not only that but you have to also get her to become pretty, smart, athletic and all around a non-existantly perfect human being for any of the bishies to even like her and get a good end with her. Actually apparently she used to be a beauty queen when she was a loli but her siscon oniichan spoiled her with candy so she became a tub of lard. The other problem I had was that a lot of the online guides are only for the DS or PS2 version. While most of the stuff is the same, the keywords at the end were completely different and I had to google for 3 different guides because the first time I played through I didn’t get the bishie’s good end arggh!
