Otome Game Review: Amnesia -Crowd-

When Otomate announced Amnesia Crowd nobody knew what it was about. Everyone thought it was going to be a sequel, a new deeper story for the Amnesia world. I felt something was fishy when the story page listed the exact same story as the original and in my head I thought this was going to be some kind of a remake. Turns out, it’s actually just  a 2nd fandisk and may as well be called Amnesia -Even Later-. The suspense section features a time when Mary Sue is stuck somewhere during the first game and your man of choice has to save her.  The working section features Mary just working her part time job at Meido no Hitsuji where you play some annoying mini games and interact with chibi versions of the characters. The Love section goes a bit further beyond Later and shows Mary and your dude of choice finally getting married after graduating college. Since Working and Suspense take place in the first game, Mary once again doesn’t talk. (;´∀`)

Otome Game Review: L.G.S ~Shinsetsu Houshin Engi~

So once upon a time in my college years I saw this anime called Houshin Engi. I didn’t understand wtf was going on and I’m actually pretty bad with any kind of ancient historical events.  So then Otomate decided in the spirit of SYK they are gonna otomeify it and turn Youzen into a female heroine. Except now her name is YouSEN.  Since there’s spoilers ahead I’m just gonna cut it here, so more after the jump! Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: School Wars

Ichijou Shiori’s father is died in a car accident and her mother is sick and hospitalized. Being tight on funds, Shiori was rejected from her high school because she couldn’t afford to pay for it. However luck came her way and she got a scholarship to Seiron Academy and became the chairman of the public morals committee in her 3rd year. On top of this her mother was allowed to transfer to a fancy hospital for better treatment. Unfortunately there’s a catch which is to take military training and uphold the peace now that Seiron Academy and the wealthy Suzushiro Academy have merged. The students  are at war with each other ever since 3 years earlier, Suzushiro burned down one of Seiron’s school buildings and now it’s happened again. The student council president lures her into finding out the criminal behind it and desperate for money she agrees. However, she quickly learns the best way to win is to SLEEP with the enemy (✧≖‿ゝ≖). Too bad for Shiori, she’s spent so much of her life trying to survive, that she’s a tad behind in the romance department. Read the rest of this entry

Otome Game Review: unENDing Bloody Call

So as a last minute impulse buy I ended up getting the Bloody Call limited edition PSP port. I enjoyed the PC game a lot so I figured with the after stories & new CGs, it was like buying the game + fandisk in one! Since my PC game review pretty much covers the plot, I plan to only focus on the new stuff/omakes in this post.

Otome Game Review: MIYAKO ~Awayuki no Utage~

This is the Miyako fandisk. Izumi holds a party for the shigoryou and after everyone is all pooped out he shocks everyone by saying he’s disbanding their group. He also then tells Sangou that she’s gotta go around and get close with all the members to collect some magical shells and be the best shikigami like no one ever was. Oh well any excuse to get cozy with the guys works for me!

Otome Game Review: Oumagatoki ~Kaidan Romance~

Suzue Shizuka seems like your average high school girl….except that she’s the descendant of a great water spiritShe has no family so she spends most of her time floating around the school pool even though she hates swimming and water. Because of her blood, she has a ton of power inside of her and unless she lets loose by getting into fights with other spirits at the school, she comes down with a fever and her powers go out of control. Typically she and her good friend Hisoka run around causing trouble and annoying the student council president and teachers. The school they attend is an average school with humans attending the day classes. At night however, it’s the “Witching Hour” where all the spirits come out and “play school” despite some of them being over thousands of years old.

Otome Game Review: Amnesia -Later-

This the fandisk to Amnesia. There’s “New World” which is like another story to the original story where Mary Sue still has no memories. The After Story takes place after she regains her memories in the original game and then there’s other bonuses like Waka World and Girls Party. Additionally you get a chance to reflect on your past journey with Orion.

Otome Android App Review: Himitsu no Ai-land Alarm Clock

I actually do intend to do a real review of this game once I buy all the dudes but for now here’s a review of the alarm clock app.

The game has 3 seiyuus, Terashima Takuma, Sugiyama Noriaki & Hino Satoshi voicing the main protagonists so the alarm clocks of course come with their voices! Since there’s not too many decent alarm apps for Android (unlike the mass of soine stuff for iphone) I guess if you like the seiyuus above you might like this alarm? For me? No thanks. The alarm voices are like a random line from the original game so basically it’s like someone saying “I like bacon & eggs!” as a wakeup call ಠ_ಠ The Hijikata app I paid money for is a million times better but this is free so I guess you get what you pay for lol. You can get Raika’s here (Terashima Takuma) and Sugiyama’s and Hino’s respectively (I forgot their character names.) I’m assuming the other 2 will probably say random lines as well but if you can’t spend money on the hakuoki apps and you don’t really care as long as it’s X seiyuu then go for it!

Otome Game Review: Amnesia

One day you wake up trippin’ balls and find that a shota with horns has crawled into your brain. He calls himself Orion and says that due to some pime taradox he’s ended up in your head and now you have amnesia! The only way for him to get out is to get your memories back. So now our heroine, who I’ve appropriately named Mary (short for Mary Sue – as she doesn’t come with a default name) must go on an Agatha Christie adventure with Orion to get her memories back and figure out who dunnit to make them fly off in the first place. Mary has to face 5 creepers while looking for her memories, but she can’t fend any of them off because she doesn’t talk! That’s right you have to just imagine what she is saying or thinking or hope that Orion’s snarky commentary covers it.

( ´_ゝ`) Nazuna’s like “wtf no” but Wabisuke tells her that these guys will screw you over if you don’t do as they say because they’re drowning in money. Nazuna not sure what to do consults the dorm teacher Reito-sensei, but sadly for her, he’s also part of the manwhore club. The only way to clear her debt is to make Wabisuke become a member of the club and for Nazuna to date all the members until they get bored of her.
