Guess I won’t be playing Kaito Apricot after all (´・ω・`;A)

So I installed Kaito Apricot this evening, a game I’ve wanted to play ever since I heard about otome games but…

There is no save button. I kid you not, you cannot save. Even though at the beginning of the title menu there’s a LOAD button, I’m not sure what I should be loading when I CAN’T EVEN SAVE (ノ ゚Д゚)ノ ======= ┻━━┻ What am I supposed to leave my PC on for a week to play this game? LOL? Uh no. Additionally

I couldn’t find auto mode in this game which would force me to click until my hand fell off. Not only that, if you switch windows (which I DO REALLY OFTEN especially when I chat during my broadcast…) the game stops. Literally, someone will be in mid-sentence, they will promptly STOP the moment I click on a different window on my desktop. No. Just no. Sorry for anyone who wanted to see this game, but well other than seiyuus like Ishida Akira & Miki Schinichiro we’re not missing out on much here. (Plus I just heard them both in Sangoku so I guess I’ll have to settle on that  )

  1. Hahaha, that was what bugged me by the game when I played it at aswell until it turned out one CAN save…after getting past the prologue. While on the town map. Atleast by the PS2 version…?

Though no auto is weird. Neither did menu buttons appear when putting the cursor at the top of the screen that could have that? <= Has never played the PC version.

Well either, the PC was missing the most fun character so it's not a big loss?

  2. I never got past the prologue, maybe you can save in the town after all but that still bugs me. I installed Little Aid (by the same company) and when I right click, a menu pops up letting me save no problem. I’m guessing old game + windows 7 = stuff doesn’t work. Can’t play in XP mode because no Japanese fonts in there lol so yea.

The no auto and the stopping when I change windows was a deal breaker for me though. Fortunately LITTLE AID doesn’t have either of these issues so yea I’ll be playing that next. This basically leaves me with Little Aid, Danzai no maria (?) and a doujin game called Ratirika (which is actually voices so its kinda nice.) I also plan to play Re:Alistair since it’s in English.

After that I guess I’ll start fiddling with emulators!
