EDIT: I had no idea that so many people read these comics and I don’t want to have multiple pw’s for my pangya update posts/comic posts so I’ve removed the passwords from the comics. However, as of today I will no longer be translating the comics anymore. It’s a lot easier that way for me anyway. Enjoy the work I have done thus far.

its fine since I only gave the pw to trusted people. no this isn’t shared. i did these comics for my friends, not for idiots who can’t read my requests to not hotlink. i would have been less annoyed if they had saved it to photobucket and then linked back to the original entry giving credit – but no, they hotlink to my image, and waste my bandwidth.
Some people never listen. Or maybe they just can’t read. And I don’t mean English. Oh well.

Apparently, even if you say that there are many retards at kaskus, you should really know how they have opened up a lot of chances for people to do businesses in there. I agree with you that there are many retards, but I don’t think you should generalized the whole forum. I, myself, is only active in 1 topic at kaskus. So if you want to say I’m defending the place, you have the rights, even though I’m not really defending it. Thanks.

I’m more annoyed at the hotlinking than the reposting to be honest. It’s basically stealing my bandwidth which I don’t have a whole lot of since I’m on a free wordpress account. I wish there was some anti-hotlinking feature on wordpress but there isn’t.

…Is hotlinking an *acceptable* thing in this dude’s language/culture or something? lol. Even if English *isn’t* his first language, he obviously understood enough to get that the 4komas were funny, so why didn’t he get gist of the disclaimer up at top every entry/comic? Even if English isn’t his first language, he should have known better to hotlink and just link to the blog if he wanted to point people in the direction of the 4koma.

yep, that forum is fulled with reposts and hotlinks, that’s how kaskus is. as i’ve said before, they’re just too ignorant to read rules/guidelines.. they get excited if something ‘cool’ is going on, and just mindlessly post it there without concerning other people.

By “retards” I meant those people who shouts “Pertamax!” (which means “First!” in Indonesian, by the way) at the start of every topic, or those people who makes a new account just to post junks for 2000 times so that he/she can send reputations and… you get the idea. I don’t mean people who actually post content, which is the minority of the people in that site, like you, for example. Sorry if it sounds like I was generalizing the forum. But yeah, Kaskus is the home for many people to hotlink images that they think is cool.

Ah! You’re exactly right. Kaskus is like the Indonesian version of 4chan. Most of them are adults so don’t generalize them as “12 year olds” – but really, they can’t follow the rules. xD
