NO U, QuinRose.

Where are my bishies!!
So I attempted to start playing Crismon Empire this weekend. Today this attempt ends in failure. It started with a really long prologue about some loli who was kissed by some pedobear demon, who then took her to hell & back. Then she got her hair pulled my multpile men and became some assassin maid in order to protect some country’s prince (who is a bishie she’s supposed to end up with in this game.) UNFORTUNATELY in order to end up with ANYONE you have to fight furry demons like some pokemon game and then do god knows what else. Anyway I really don’t have the patience for this shit. It’s really a shame too because the voice cast is fantastic but I like to play visual novels where I just ..read some text, pick some choices, kiss some guys. If I wanted to play an RPG I’d play some MMORPG or something like Final Fantasy. The art’s not even that great either so none of QuinRose games ever appealed to me. I guess this is what I get for downloading every otome game I see and then blindly walking into them, not realizing that they’re just not up my alley.
Gonna uninstall this and move on to something else.

Just skimming through the walkthrough made me shudder. :O
I know right??? I’m like this is like 200x worse than LoveRevo geezus man.
I didn’t have enough patient for this game so I quit too. XP Love Revo was too much as well so I didn’t finish it.
loverevo was pretty much the same thing though once you got the basic hang of it and it had a lot less complicated patterns to follow. this was just terrible I mean I just got stuck to the point where I had no idea wtf to do!
I didn’t play Quin Rose, but I kind of sort of recommend ハートの国のアリス. Very interesting main character who is a very dark, cynical girl. Definitely not the typical otome game KYAAAAAA girls. However, the only effing annoying thing about that game that it’s just endless clicking. Plot/Characters are rather good, gameplay just MADDENING.
thanks ru. quinrose is the same company who made heart no kuni alice lol. the game i gave up on was actually crimsom empire. i heard too many system issues with the alice games but im kinda of wary of anymore quinrose games at this point. i have a nice backlog of other games anyway so maybe if i ever clear through that ill give alice a 2nd look
I actually played through this whole game, and the thing I really found annoying was that you had to bribe the church and nobility 100 000 gold almost every turn in order to win. That said I enjoyed the rpg elements. However this was not Quinrose’s best game the storyline was bloody and at points depressing. Most guys were uninteresting and their stories were equally unappealing. There is only ONE guy worth all the hassle, Marshall. Their arabians lost game is still the best rpg otome game, in my opinion.
The Alice series is the only Quinrose traditional otome game they make. All their other products have RPG elements in them, including their first wizard game. But Alice is like Love drops, in the sense that you have to visit the guy you want to get his events, only you can also visit other guys to get more events. If you don’t mind missing out on 200 CGs or so, just stick to your guy like glue and you’re set.
I think most of the system issues you’re talking about happen only in Clover, but that’s Quinrose made a big owie with that one and did almost no beta testing in that game. Clearly they learned their lesson, I didn’t find one bug in Crimson. Heart has also a few problems, but that’s mainly missing CGs and events in the gallery, and they’re all fixed in the patch. Other than that it, heart never gave me any issue. I don’t know how they could mess up so bad with Clover, but it’s clearly their most popular series as another game is coming out next month.
So, when are you gonna play Kiniko no Corda? I’m almost done with it, but I’ve been distracted with the PS2 version of princess nightmare.
hahaha good thing I quit then
regarding kiniro – I don’t know, I’m having trouble getting through Gin no Kanmuri cause it’s boring as sin.
Starry Sky in Fall comes out soon so that’s gonna take priority xDDD
Ah, Crimson Empire? I’ve heard that game was pretty difficult since you need to get a lot of support. Seeing that, I didn’t bother playing…
Clover no Kuni’s intro was pretty long when I chose to live in the forest. From what I could tell with Atlas, Alice was going on about being tempted to open the door to her home world and started angsting about how she’ll probably never see Gowland and Boris again before she realized that Boris lives in the forest too. I’m actually thankful that they let you skip that if you choose to replay and live in the forest again, it gets quite boring.. And I have heard that the intros for Heart no Kuni were pretty long too. I’m guessing QuinRose enjoy making long intros and put them in their games.
